🙌🏾🎉 Celebrating Our YTOP Youth Ambassadors! 🎂🙌🏾

Our Youth Ambassadors recently celebrated a HUGE milestone—submitting their very first youth-led grant proposal to the Karma for Cara Foundation!

Of course, we had to celebrate with cake and treats!

We are incredibly proud of the growth, leadership, and hard work these young people have shown throughout the summer. From building new skills to putting their ideas into action, they continue to show us what youth leadership looks like!

This week, the last week of YTOP for the summer, our YTOP youth took the lead!

Youth hosted a SkillShare with each other and AFC staff, sharing what they’ve learned and practiced over the summer.

Youth Ambassadors shared professional and workplace skills. Urban Agriculture taught us how to plant a garden and Community Cook showed us how to make Buffalo Chicken Dip and Spinach Artichoke dip! Yum!

We love to see our youth step into the role of teachers and share their skills with the team!

We're grateful to partner with Hospitality House Youth Development, the Kitty Andersen Youth Science Center, and the Science Museum of Minnesota to build raised garden beds that will provide a lasting space for learning, growing, and connection. Thank you to everyone involved—especially AFC Co-Founder Princess Titus—for helping make this meaningful youth-led collaboration possible!
