A new mural at 3030 Nicollet ✨

CERAMICS IS BACK 🏺🔥

This spring session, we brought back one of our most notorious artmaking mediums in the Contemporary Lab.

Ceramics has officially made its return, pushing our artists to think differently and work with their hands in new ways. Stepping away from the 2D realm, they’re diving deep into sculpting, texture, and hand-building techniques.

Stay tuned as they explore, experiment, and take off into a whole new creative world of clay this spring.

👋🏾 MEET JXTA: Dracula (aka Penny, aka Stack, aka Louie) 🧛🏾‍♂️🐈‍⬛

Not your typical JXTA member… but definitely part of the family 🖤

Dracula pulled up to campus about 2 months ago, moving real cautious with a deep bite wound on his neck, not too sure who to trust. We gave him a name (for obvious reasons) and just started showing up for him.

Now? He’s healing up beautifully. Fur coming back in, energy up, and his personality (and meows) loud as ever!

You’ll catch him posted, taking naps in our outdoor cat condo… but don’t get it twisted—he’s an attention SEEKER. Soon as you step close or he hears his name, he’s on you for pets like he been here his whole life.

From survival mode to soft life, right here on the JXTA campus.

This is more than a paint & sip. It’s a guided illustration session led by JXTA teaching artists, where you’ll explore art mediums, technique, and your own creative voice! All in a space built for connection and vibe.

Toast to a night of legacy and laughter 🥂

JXTA celebrated a powerful transition into new leadership with our Legacy Dinner, bringing together close supporters and longtime JXTA associates in one space.

The night held us down with a musical performance by Qadyim, JXTA alum and Enviro Lab Lead, stories shared from our apprentices, and a fireside chat where we heard directly from our founders DeAnna & Roger, our Board Chair Leah, and Liz, our new ED, about the next chapter of JXTA. 📜

Big shoutout to our Dev/Comms team who ate this event up—giving us a reminder that we’re all a part of JXTA’s legacy and all a part of its future.

A beautiful night… now a memory, and forever part of the legacy. 🔥
