In December 1984, the ecumenical Community of St. Martin opened St. Martin’s Table, a non-profit restaurant dedicated to peacemaking and supporting hunger-related causes. For 26 years, until its close in December 2010, the Table was a beloved part of this neighborhood. It had been a gathering place for many neighbors, peace and justice advocates, and progressive church members in the Twin Cities.
