What an incredible day.

From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU to everyone who came out and made the 17th Annual Racca Memorial Disc Golf Tournament another unforgettable year 🩵

And somehow, even the weather cooperated most of the day! 🙌 We’re incredibly grateful for every player who hit the course, every volunteer who gave their time, every family and guest who joined us, and every donor and sponsor who helped make this day possible.

A huge thank you to Blue Ribbon Pines Disc Golf Club 🥏 for once again welcoming us and giving us the perfect place to bring this community together year after year. We are so grateful for your continued support of RCF and the families we serve.

And, of course, the biggest shoutout to Leo and the entire Jaeger family. 💙

Leo, this day was for YOU! Watching our community come together around you and your family was incredibly special.

And Melissa Jaeger you have been right there with us every step of the way. Your love for your family, your involvement, your support, and the heart you brought to this entire journey is immeasurable. We are so grateful that you trusted us to be a small part of your family’s story. 🥰

To our players, volunteers, sponsors, donors, families, friends, guests, musicians, vendors, supporters, and everyone who shared a post, bought a raffle ticket, made a donation, lent a hand, or simply showed up - YOU are what makes the Racca Memorial what it is.

Seventeen years of community.
Seventeen years of giving back.
Seventeen years of showing families facing cancer that they do not have to stand alone.

And we aren’t quite finished yet!

We’re still tallying everything from this incredible weekend, and we’ll be sharing a fundraising update soon. Then comes one of our favorite moments of the entire year - presenting the BIG CHECK to Leo and his family! 🥹💙

💙 A VERY SPECIAL RACCA SHOUT-OUT 💙

This year, we have an incredibly meaningful new addition to the Racca Memorial, and this one holds a very special place in our hearts.

Lisa O. Torbenson, mom of our 2024 Racca recipient, Neil, will be joining us Saturday to sell Neil’s Blend, with proceeds raised for Leo and the Jaeger family - all in Neil’s honor.

As many of you know, Neil was just 14 when he passed away before we had the opportunity to celebrate with him at the 2024 Racca Memorial. Although we never got the day with Neil that we had hoped for, he will forever be part of the Racca family and a big part of the reason we continue doing what we do.

Lisa created Neil’s Blend as a beautiful tribute to her son and something that captures one of the many things that made Neil so uniquely Neil - his incredible love of food and, as he put it, his “very advanced palate.”🍲🫶🏻

In Lisa’s words:

“‘I have a very advanced palate’ — there were no truer words ever spoken by my 14-year-old son, Neil.

He loved bloody marys, smoked quiche, dill and feta scones, lobster cheesecake, and smoked salmon chowder, just to name a few. The list goes on and on.

My sweet Neil went to live with Jesus at the tender age of 14. I wanted to honor him and his great love of food, and when a friend suggested I create a spice blend in his memory, Neil’s Blend was born.

It carries the savory essence of all his favorite flavors — lemon, dill, garlic, onion, salt (his mom’s personal favorite!), pepper, and just a little heat. I hope that when you try it, you find yourself craving more and more.”

There is something incredibly special about seeing Racca families come back to support another. Lisa honoring Neil by pouring (or sprinkling 🥰) that love forward to Leo and his family is such a beautiful example of what the Racca community is all about.

💙 RCF FAMILY — WE NEED YOU. 📣

We don’t say this lightly, but with the Racca Memorial Tournament just days away, we need our community to step up now more than ever.

One of our incredible longtime volunteer families - people who have poured so much love, time, and heart into RCF year after year - is facing cancer within their own family. Right now, their only job is to be together, take care of one another, and focus on what matters most.

To this family: We love you. We are with you. And we are sending every ounce of love and strength your way. ❤️

And to our RCF community: this is where we need you big time!

Their absence leaves some very big shoes to fill at this year’s event, and we are suddenly in need of additional hands to help us make September 19th everything Leo and his family deserve it to be.

If you’ve ever thought about volunteering with RCF, this is the year. This is the moment!

We need people willing to show up, jump in, and help wherever they’re needed. Even a few hours of your time can make an enormous difference. Bring a friend. Bring your spouse. Bring your family. Grab a shift together.

This year, RCF invites you to rally behind an incredible kid with an unstoppable spirit, Leo Jaeger.

Leo is 10 years old, full of energy, heart, and determination. He loves sports, being active, and keeping up with his siblings - George and June. But behind that bright smile is a journey that has tested him in ways most of us can’t imagine.

Diagnosed as a baby with a rare cancer, Leo has spent much of his life in and out of treatment. He fought his way to remission once before, and now, after a recurrence in 2025, he’s bravely facing the fight again.

Through it all, Leo continues to show up! Whether it’s pushing through to perform in his school play or getting back on the basketball court, he refuses to let cancer define him.

💙And now, we have a chance to show up for him 💙

Join us on September 19, 2026, for the 17th annual Racca Disc Golf Tournament as we come together to support Leo and the Jaeger family. Every throw, every team, and every donation helps make a difference in his ongoing fight.
