Join the Volunteer Engagement and Shelter Teams for an in-person NARCAN training. The Naloxone (NARCAN) training will teach you how to recognize the signs of an opioid overdose and administer the opioid overdose reversal drug Naloxone. We will also discuss the philosophy of harm reduction and how that fits into Simpson Housing Services program model.

A heartfelt thank you to our longtime partner, StuartCo, for hosting an incredible Charity Week benefiting Simpson Housing Services.

Together, StuartCo communities raised nearly $70,000 to support Simpson’s shelter and housing programs.

“You realize very quickly people experiencing homelessness are just part of our community — just like everybody else.” 💙

When William first began volunteering as a Shelter Support volunteer at Simpson, he was looking for a meaningful community experience while pursuing a nursing degree. Nearly a year later, the experience has become much more than volunteer hours.

From helping with meals and restocking supplies to simply spending time talking with guests, William says the most memorable moments often came through everyday conversations and connecting with guests.

Art 4 Shelter Made an Impact! ✨

Together, we raised $243,337 to support Simpson Housing Services! Thank you to the artists, attendees, sponsors, volunteers, staff, and community members who made the 16th Annual Art 4 Shelter such a meaningful success — including our incredible artist community, who donated more than 2,500 pieces of art.

This year was especially meaningful as we recognized Steve Horsfield and his incredible 14 years of leadership. We were honored to have Mayor Jacob Frey join us as a surprise guest at the luncheon to thank Steve for his lasting impact at Simpson and in the community.

This is Steve’s last week as Simpson’s Executive Director. While it’s bittersweet to say goodbye, we’re incredibly grateful for his 14 years of leadership, compassion, and commitment to community.
