Closing out National Police Week, we pause to honor the brave men and women in law enforcement who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to others.
We remember the officers who answered every call with courage, stood the line in moments of danger, and dedicated their lives to protecting their communities. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten, and their legacy continues to live on through every badge worn and every oath taken.

To the families of our fallen heroes — your strength, sacrifice, and unwavering love are forever respected. We stand with you, not only this week, but always.
May we never forget those who gave everything so others could live safely and freely. Their watch may have ended, but their honor endures forever.

We're delighted to introduce Officer Austin Clouston to the Minden Police Family, as he joins the force after successfully completing police academy training. With his skills and enthusiasm, Officer Clouston is poised to contribute significantly to our community's safety and well-being starting Monday.

There are no words of comfort when children are taken from us too soon. Our deepest sympathies go out to everyone in our Minden community and our neighbors in Bossier and Shreveport who are experiencing the unimaginable.

This case, like all crimes, was a top priority for our officers and Chief Jared McIver. One officer in particular dedicated considerable off-duty time to pursuing leads across the state. He did so without seeking recognition or reward, simply focusing on achieving results. We are extremely proud of the dedication and hard work exhibited by our personnel.
