How amazing is this!? let’s help Joe LeBlanc Food Pantry sing LOTS of Happy Birthday songs!

We have a BIG announcement! Here at JLFP we are all about making people feel seen, worthy, loved and celebrated!! WAY back in the day we celebrated every single client's birthday. Each month we would make a list of every client that had a birthday coming up that month. When they came through the line the entire pantry would stop what they were doing and we would all sing "Happy Birthday" to that person and each one got a birthday bag with cake mix, icing, balloons and candles. For just a few seconds it was all about them!! Some clients hated the spotlight 🤣 some loved it and some would privately share with us that they'd never had a birthday party before🥹💔 As our list of families grew larger and larger it just got too expensive to continue.
A client came to me a few months ago and shared that imher birthday was coming up!! She was excited and anticipating getting a birthday bag. I hated to see the disappointment on her face when I shared that we didn't do that anymore.
I feel very strongly that it's time to bring it back! We have the physical space now and saying that we can't afford the cost of making someone feel special just doesn't sit well with me. I've shared this with God and He knows the desires of my heart so we are just gonna put it out there and see what He does 🤷♀️
Our client list is currently sitting at 534 families so we may singing LOTS of "Happy Birthdays" here real soon but nothing would make my heart happier🥳🎉🧁
