The Webster Parish Veterans Safety Net is a veteran su***de prevention organization dedicated to making sure no veteran faces a crisis alone. When a veteran reaches out to us, we respond and help connect them to the resources that can stabilize the situation, whether that’s mental health support, emergency assistance, benefits guidance, or community services.

We meet three times each month to keep veterans connected and to strengthen the network that protects our brothers and sisters in arms. On the second Wednesday of every month at 12:30 PM, we hold our board meeting at the American Legion Hall, where we review needs, plan outreach, and coordinate support. On the first Saturday of every month at 9:30 AM, veterans gather at Huffman Manor Historic Inn for coffee and conversation in a small, relaxed setting where friendships form and support grows naturally. On the third Tuesday of every month at 9 AM, we meet at the Webster Parish Council on Aging for coffee and open discussion, giving veterans a place to talk about issues or simply connect with people who understand.

Veterans are encouraged to participate even if they don’t feel they personally need help. Sometimes just showing up makes all the difference. You may be the steady voice, the listening ear, or the support a brother in arms needs at exactly the right moment. Whether you’re seeking help, offering help, or simply wanting to stand beside those who served, the Safety Net is here for you.
