GOOD NEWS ALERT!! We would like to take a few minutes of your time & share with you how we all, in our community, can make a difference through being united!

This week was a culmination of a lot of hard work & a labor of love. Two families that most desperately deserved help were able to walk into a safe environment that will give them safe shelter for the rest of their days, on this side of heaven. ❤️

Brighter Days is blessed to be a part of the George Initiative for Community Housing Team of Baldwin County. This team assisted Baldwin County in being awarded the CHIP grant to do these projects.
Our local Habitat for Humanity coordinated the builds, with the help of volunteers!
This week, both families were able to move into their new homes, and Brighter Days was blessed to be able to provide them with the ALL the furnishings they needed for this fresh start!!
As we were finishing up the first move in, as if we didn’t already know, it struck us that every bed, dresser, sheets, couch, chair, refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, washer, dryer, housewares, etc had been donated by someone from the community!!! Even every fork, spoon, knife, toaster, hand towel, bath, towel, cups, plates, pots, and pans !!!!

EVERYTHING!!!!

The day of the move in it took a combination of forces!
Georgia College & State University student and Georgia Military College Corps of Cadets jumped in and helped us move all the furniture into place!!

The thing is, everyone gave of their time freely ❤️

Goods were donated that may have sat in our warehouse for months, but they had finally found their home ❤️

God knew this day was coming, and He prepared us for that moment ❤️

Our community is stronger together,
and we can make a difference when we put our hands and feet into action!

Love is most beautiful when there’s movement behind what we do. ❤️
