The mission of the O'Hanlon Center for the Arts in Mill Valley, Marin County, is to provide programs, studio space, exhibitions and experiences that honor individual creativity, develop artistic practice, and build community. We are a unique community-based nonprofit art center located on several acres of Mill Valley's natural landscape, and resembling California's artists' colonies of the 20th Century.

⚡🎨DID YOU KNOW... that Ann Rice and Dick O'Hanlon met as students at the California School of Fine Arts in San Francisco? 🌁 In 1932 they both took Ray Boynton's fresco class and created these frescos:
Ann produced a large fresco for the school cafeteria shown here in situ (slide 1)🖌️
Dick created a Fisherman's Wharf Fresco (6' x 10') shown here with details (slides 2-4)🖌️
Now the real work begins: identifying all the figures!

Enjoy painting both abstractly and realistically using vibrant alcohol inks.🎨 Helen joins us at OHCA in Mill Valley for this special visiting-artist workshop. Using just rubbing alcohol, a straw, an eyedropper, and brushes on Yupo paper, you are guaranteed to walk away with several small paintings you love. 🖼️
