Remember Raja? Our sweet senior husky who was left to fend for himself and stole the hearts of so many in the rescue community.
We are asking for your help again. This time, to get our sweet old man out of pain.
Raja recently had to be rushed to the emergency vet because of serious issues with his eyes. Unfortunately, the news was heartbreaking.
Raja has been diagnosed with Horner’s syndrome, causing his right eye to sink back into its socket. His eyelid is now rolling inward, leaving his eyelashes constantly scraping against his eyeball. He also has a growing mass on his left eyelid that rubs against his other eye every time he blinks.
Our poor boy just cannot catch a break.
The specialist has started Raja on antibiotics in hopes of treating a possible underlying infection. If he doesn’t improve, he will need a procedure to relieve the irritation.
Here is what we are facing financially:
Emergency vet visit: $775.54
Specialist follow-up: $180, plus any additional testing.
Option 1: $766.65–$966.65
Eyelid filler to stop the painful rubbing and a less extensive procedure to reduce the mass.
Option 2: $1,532.40–$1,815.94
Eyelid filler and a more extensive procedure to remove the mass.
Unfortunately, which treatment we can move forward with will depend on how much we can raise.
Raja is 11 years old. After everything he has survived, he deserves to spend his senior years comfortable, safe, and loved.
We cannot undo the years he spent being neglected, but we can make sure he never has to suffer like that again.
