Winnie has lived with her family since she was 4 months old. She is now about 2-1/2. She was adopted from a rescue in TX. When the family reached out to them to return her, as required in the contract, they were told the rescue couldn't take her back, as required in their contract, and were encouraged to explore euthanasia as an option.
Winnie is not an aggressive dog. She is an anxious dog who acts out with some destructive behaviors (chewing things up that she shouldn't). She needs a family with experience and time to provide the mental stimulation she needs, as well as physical exercise.
The family, thankfully, does not see euthanasia as an option. They posted on a rehoming page and we offered to help by posting, reaching out to rescues, and screening applications.

Winnie loves people. She is great with other dogs. She is a smart, friendly, lovable dog. She is fine with children 7+ years old (she currently lives with one).
Her current situation is that she's in a single parent home with a mom who works full time as well. She would benefit from a home where someone is there a good deal of the time. If you work from home, are a stay-at-home parent, or are retired, your family could well be a great match for Winnie.
She is mainly a Rottweiler/GSD mix (see the picture of her DNA results). A family with experience with one of her primary breeds is preferred.
A yard that is securely fenced with a 6-ft fence is preferred as well - she has been known to scale a 4-ft fence!
Winnie is a healthy young dog with her whole life ahead of her. She is spayed and up to date with vaccines (we've seen her vet records).
