American Legion Post 268 A patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness, and is one of the nation’s largest wartime veterans service organization.

The American Legion Post 268 is a non-profit organization under the Congressional Charter for the American Legion. We are a family friendly post as we host various events centered around taking care of our Veterans and their families as well as our Milan community. Public Notice: Memorial Day Parade Registration Requirement
The Milan American Legion Post 268 will host its traditional Memorial Day Services on Monday, May 25, 2026, at Marble Park Cemetery, followed by a parade concluding at the American Legion Post. This long-standing tradition honors those who served and brings our community together in remembrance.
To comply with our agreement with the City of Milan and to address liability concerns, we now require all businesses and organizations wishing to participate in the parade to register in advance. Registration must be completed by contacting our First Vice Commander, Al Garcia, via email at [email protected]
Please note: Unregistered participants will not be permitted to join the parade.
We understand that registration was not required in the past, but as times change, so must our practices. The American Legion and our veteran community remain committed to supporting Milan and its residents, and we ask for your understanding and cooperation as we implement this necessary change for the safety and success of our community events.
