Vendor Profile: Maniacal Mead Co
Jeff Fraser and Patrick Echlin, Ypsilanti

"Maniacal Mead Co started as an idea between three friends (Jeff Fraser and his friends James and Jason) who were crazy about mead. They lived in different places, but still managed to share their mead experiences with each other.
After Jason's death in June 2017, Jeff felt driven to make Maniacal happen. Later in 2017, Patrick Echlin (a co-founder of 734 Brewing Company in Ypsilanti) happened to sit down next to Jeff at a bar. They struck up a conversation and eventually Patrick ended up trying some of Jeff's mead, which he conveniently had in the parking lot. Patrick was far from a mead enthusiast, but tasting the home-brewed Maniacal Mead opened his eyes to a lot of potential. It wasn't long before Jeff and Patrick decided to make Maniacal Mead Co a real business. Maniacal's mission was (and is) to open everyone's mind and palate to the real potential of 'The Drink of the Gods.'
We will be selling the meads we make, by the bottle (occasionally by the can as well). All products are honey-based wines, often with fruit or aromatics added."

Maniacal Mead Co joins us every week this summer with free samples for 21+! They accept cash and credit for purchase.
