Reach Out Reach Out LaFond - Preventing restavik, street children, and orphanage abuse through education, restoration, and reconnecting familes.

Training up Godly, ethical leaders for a better Haiti. Reach Out is a 501c3 non-profit group committed to educating the young while keeping the family unit together. Through education and extra ciricular activites we work to encourage the economic and spiritual growth in these young minds. Only about 60% of the children in Haiti attend school. This number drops to around 20% when the students hit

high school. It is our desire to see these number increase. It is our desire to share the love of Christ, keep families together and encourage young people to dream for a brighter future and to give them the skill set to not only dream but to reach those dreams.

What if your daily walk could help change a student’s future in Haiti? 💙👟

This June, join Reach Out Lafond’s 3rd Annual Walkathon: Walk for Hope Haiti! - 80 for 80.

We’re walking 80 miles in 30 days to stand with the 80% of Haitian youth who may never have the opportunity to attend high school.

Each participant has a goal to raise just $10 per mile - that’s $800 total. And the best part? That can be as simple as 10 friends giving $80 each.

You don’t have to do it alone:

You might not be able to understand what he is saying but he is sharing about the love of the Father and why we choose to minister to others.

Ministry is not always about what “we do” it’s much more about how we connect and be in community with those around us.

This last trip to Lafond, was an eye opener to Junior. He saw the great needs of the school and his heart became even more burdened for the children, the staff, and the school building itself.

Earlier in April, Andrew flew into Haiti. It was the first time in 4 years that he had flown south and taken the long drive from Les Cayes to Lafond.

While there, he was thrilled to see how well the Rev program was running. He told me how he could see that the teachers really believed in the program and that the students' grades were improving.

He took time to connect with the Rev students and play with the elementary children. If you have ever been around Andrew, you know how much he loves children. He has a love and compassion for them, and they can sense that.

I want you to know that, because of your donations and prayers, children are in school, being loved, fed, and encouraged.

This means you are preventing hundreds of children from living on the streets, from becoming restaveks (child slaves), and from becoming poverty orphans and entering an orphanage, all because their parents couldn't afford to send them to school.

There are more children who need help. If you would like to sponsor an elementary child, it costs just $25/month. A high school student can be 1/2 sponsored at $50/month or fully sponsored at $100/month.

This weekend the Set Free Movement came to our church to talk about human trafficking.

One thing we pride ourselves on is that we believe the Reach Out Lafond programs fight to prevent children from being trafficked.

However, just 4 days later one of our graduates student’s phone was hacked, and another student he knew sent money…

I heard from a fellow ministry leader they had lost a girl in their program to human trafficking a few years ago.

To me this is a wake up call. We must be training the students in our care about the dangers of human trafficking and how it can start with something so simple.

Please keep Haiti in your prayers.

And ask God to show us the best materials for us to use to make sure the kids we get to work with remain as safe as possible.

Pray also for the children who are trapped in the slavery of the gangs. Many of these are as young as 10 years old.
