Jazz Up Close is back! The first concert of the season will feature vocalist and composer Andrea Wolper Andrea Wolper! Wolper, well established in the New York scene, has performed on many legendary stages including the 55 Bar, Blue Note, and Dizzy’s club and has toured around the US and internationally. One of the singers covered in The Jazz Singers: The Ultimate Guide (Yanow, Backbeat Books), she is “a brilliant musical storyteller” who “brings songs to life, whatever their source,” and “a terrific arranger, taking new paths rather than expected ones”. She will be joined by Noah Baerman Noah Baerman on piano, Henry Lugo Henry Lugo on bass, and Jocelyn Pleasant Jocelyn Pleasant on drums. Along with the music, there will be opportunities for dialogue between the artists and attendees. Come join us at the Ring Family Performing Arts Hall, Friday September 18th, 7:00 PM for a good time! Admission is free!

This Thursday! Come see the Noah Baerman trio for a warm soulful evening. Noah will be joined by Henry Lugo on bass and Curtis Nowosad on drums and the three will be presenting music from a collection of pianists with large influence on Noah’s playing. The concert itself is part of the “Spring into the Wood” event at the Wood Memorial Library and Museum in South Windsor, celebrating history, culture, music, and community.
