I want to take a moment to thank Barton Family Dental for their most generous donation. These wonderful people saw the funding crisis being faced by our center and chose to bless our center with an amazing donation. If you need dental work done, and want to support a local business that cares, go see the folks at Barton! 606.248.3674 or go to their website at barton-dental.com

Anyone who wants to donate, please go to our website at bellcountyseniorcenter.org. Thank you so much. ❤️

It is with absolute sorrow that I must announce this. Due to the funding crisis affecting not only our center, but senior centers across Kentucky, we've had to make the hard decision to cut back on our home delivery meals. I used the fairest criteria I could - internal nutrition risk scores - and had to remove 26 clients altogether, and then go to 3 days a week for home delivery. The center will still be open for congregate 5 days a week. If the state corrects this most grievous mistake on senior center budgets, we will go back to our normal numbers.

***** IMPORTANT NOTICE*****
Our center, along with senior centers across Kentucky, is facing significant reductions in state funding. At the same time, more seniors in our community need our services than ever before.

Right now, we deliver approximately 94 meals every weekday to older adults in Bell County.

We are fighting to keep those meals coming.

However, if our funding remains at its current level, we may be forced to reduce home-delivered meals from five days a week to three days a week. Depending on how the funding situation develops, additional reductions could become necessary.

We do not want that to happen.

You can help us make your voice heard.
