Bell County is expected to see severe weather tonight between the hours of 8-11 PM.

The National Weather Service has placed us in the Enhanced Risk (Level 3 of 5) for severe storms. The greatest threat to our area will be damaging winds and possible isolated instances of large hail. Isolated tornadoes are also possible and cannot be ruled out. We are also under a Flood Watch. Any updates to watches or warnings will be posted here on this page as they come in.

Now is the time to prepare for this storm.

-Prepare for possible power outages.

-Be sure you have various ways to access weather information and monitor it throughout the evening, even in the instance of a power outage.

-Secure any objects outdoors that may become projectiles in high winds.

-In case of a tornado, go to the lowest floor of your home away from any windows. If you are outside, find a sturdy building or lie flat in a low area.

-If in a flooded area, turn around don't drown. Do not attempt to cross flooded roadways.

PLEASE folks, don't drive into these raging torrents over the roadways! We have responded to multiple calls of cars overturned in water. Nothing on the other side of the water is more important than your life and the lives of the emergency responders that you are putting at risk!
