Tonight at the St Ritas EMS Banquet members of our department were recognized for receiving an Exceptional Trauma Care award! This award was due to the excellent care provided and great early decision making from a 3 car accident on US 30 last summer, resulting in 3 critically injured patients all making full recoveries!

Congratulations to all award winning recipients this year!

Public Safety Announcement: Slow Down & Move Over
Last night, one of our fire engines was struck by a semi on I‑75 while crews were operating at an emergency scene. Thankfully, no firefighters were injured — but this incident is a serious reminder of how dangerous highway responses can be.
When you see emergency lights:
• Slow Down
• Move Over into the next lane if possible
• Give responders space to work safely
These steps aren’t just courteous — they are Ohio law and they save lives. Every day, firefighters, medics, police officers, tow operators, and highway workers stand just feet away from fast‑moving traffic while helping others.
Your cooperation helps ensure we all make it home safely.
Thank you for doing your part to protect those who protect you.

Merry Christmas from all of us! 🎄

We want to extend a sincere thank you to All Purpose Contracting out of Delphos for sending a vac truck to assist with our overnight grain bin fire. We were dispatched just after 8:00 PM, and all units cleared the scene around 4:00 AM after safely emptying the grain bin that had caught fire. Their support was greatly appreciated and made a big difference.

Finally, thank you to all of our Fire & EMS families. Your support, patience, and sacrifices do not go unnoticed—we truly appreciate everything you do to support your firefighter and EMS provider.

Stay safe, and Merry Christmas to all! 🎅🚒
