☕ This month's CREW Miami Member Spotlight features Rachel L. Perez, Partner, Real Estate at Akerman LLP.

Rachel's path to commercial real estate law wasn't linear. After beginning her career in immigration law, she was drawn to commercial real estate by the tangible impact projects can have on the communities where we live and work.

Today, her practice includes joint ventures, acquisitions and dispositions, with a focus on helping clients navigate increasingly complex deal structures and investment relationships.

Rachel is also the CREW Miami member behind our "Cafecito & Connect" series, creating opportunities for members to have real conversations and build meaningful professional relationships.

Her advice to women building careers in commercial real estate?

"Don't be afraid to take on something new. Strong mentors, curiosity, and adaptability can take you a long way."
