📚✏️ Help us make this school year one to remember!

The Zonta Club of Miami Lakes is collecting new school supplies for the children of The Caring Place as they prepare for their Back to School Bash on Saturday, August 1.

We're excited to partner with this incredible organization to help local children start the school year with the tools they need to succeed. In addition to collecting supplies, members of our club will be volunteering both during the days leading up to the event and at the Back to School Bash itself.

Every backpack, notebook, pencil, and crayon can make a difference. Together, let's give these students and their families the confidence to begin the new school year with smiles and excitement! 💙💛

While we are excited to begin a new club year with fresh leadership and new board members, we are also taking a moment to recognize and celebrate the incredible service of Grethel Kunkel as she concludes her two-year term as President of the Zonta Club of Miami Lakes.

Throughout her presidency, Grethel has been an inspiration, a dedicated leader, and a valued mentor to so many of our members. Her passion, vision, and unwavering commitment to improving the lives of women and girls have helped strengthen our club and expand our impact in the community.

We are proud to congratulate Grethel on her new role as Vice Area 3 Director. While her presidency may be ending, we know her leadership journey is far from over, and we look forward to seeing the positive difference she will continue to make throughout Zonta.

As Grethel begins this exciting new chapter, she leaves the club in the capable hands of her former Vice President, Anne Marie Little, who now assumes the role of Club President. The energy, teamwork, and shared vision that Grethel and Anne Marie brought to their leadership partnership have been instrumental to our club's success, and we have no doubt that momentum will continue under Anne Marie's leadership.

Congratulations to both Grethel and Anne Marie on their new positions. We look forward to all that you will accomplish as you continue to lead, inspire, and advocate for women and girls in our community and beyond.

Thank you, Grethel, for your years of service, guidance, and dedication. Your leadership has left a lasting mark on our club, and we are grateful for all you continue to do for women and girls.

💛 Congratulations and best wishes to you both!

May’s Installation Ceremony was an exciting milestone for the Zonta Club of Miami Lakes! Not only did we welcome several new board members, but many of those stepping into leadership roles are also newer members of our club.

As we begin this new chapter, we are energized by fresh ideas, new perspectives, and a shared commitment to service. We look forward to expanding our community impact through meaningful service projects, volunteer opportunities, and stronger partnerships with like-minded organizations throughout our area.

Collaboration is at the heart of what we do, and we are excited to connect with other clubs and community groups to further our mission of empowering women and girls through education, advocacy, and action. Together, we will continue raising awareness about human trafficking, violence against women, and other critical issues affecting women and girls in our communities.
