We were honored to welcome Superintendent Rafael A. Villalobos to our Family Unification Event this past Saturday. 💛

Thank you for taking the time to spend with our children, caregivers, team and community partners, and for recognizing the importance of creating opportunities that support child safety, personal growth and resilience.

As you shared, it truly takes a village to help children feel safe, supported and seen. We’re grateful for your presence, your encouragement, and for highlighting the work being done to help our children and families soar beyond adversity. ✨

We’re building Team Tinkerbell’s Kids for the Give Miami 5K + Festival on November 15, and we’d love for you to join us.💛

When you register, be sure to select Silent Victims of Crime/Tinkerbell’s Kids as the organization you’re supporting. 100% of your registration fee goes to the nonprofit you choose, helping us continue creating meaningful experiences, opportunities and support for our children and caregivers.

🎟️ Early-bird registration is $45 through October 14 and increases to $60 on October 15 - so register early and join our team!

🎨 Creativity was everywhere at our latest Family Unification Event at the creative Belafonte TACOLCY Center Belafonte TACOLCY Center 📍.

Our children and caregivers had so much fun expressing themselves through our mask art activity - choosing colors, patterns and details that made every piece completely their own.

Creative experiences like this give our families a chance to connect, explore their imagination, build confidence and simply enjoy creating together. 💛

💛 We’re looking for a few more amazing volunteers to join us TOMORROW!

Our next Family Unification Event is happening at Liberty City Elementary, with a day centered on connection, learning, creativity and community for our children and caregivers.

The day will include registration, a Children’s Safety Workshop, lunch, mindful art, and the opportunity to walk next door to the Health & Safety Fair at D.A. Dorsey Technical College from 12–2 PM, while Family Unification activities continue at Liberty City Elementary until 3 PM.

Our volunteers truly are the heart of our organization. Your time, presence and compassion help us create meaningful experiences where our children feel supported, encouraged and seen. 💛

💛 A very special thank you to the officers who joined us at our Family Unification Event at the amazing Belafonte TACOLCY Center this past Saturday!

Our children and caregivers had the opportunity to connect with the officers, learn about their careers, hear about their journeys, and most importantly, hear the personal “why” behind choosing a life of service.❤️

As we continue introducing our youth to career exploration, moments like these give them the opportunity to learn firsthand about different professions, ask questions, and begin imagining the many possibilities for their own futures.

And we got to see that impact firsthand. 💛 One of our children, shared that he wants to become a police officer one day. That’s exactly why exposure matters. Sometimes meeting someone, hearing their story, and seeing a new possibility can plant a seed for a child’s future. ✨

A heartfelt thank you to Chief Edwin Lopez Edwin Lopez , Deputy Chief Al Guerra, and our longtime partner, the Community-Police Relations Foundation Community-Police Relations Foundation , for your continued support and for helping make meaningful experiences like these possible for our children.

💛 Our next Family Unification Event is this Saturday at the Health & Safety Summit - and we’re looking for amazing volunteers to join us! 🩺✨

We’re excited to bring our Tinkerbell’s Kids children and caregivers together for a day of connection, learning, creativity and wellness, while exploring the health, educational and community resources available throughout the Summit at D.A. Dorsey Technical College D.A. Dorsey Technical College 📍.

✨ We’re also excited to welcome Emily Caillon , founder of our amazing community partner 2 Million Children and a special guest speaker for our children and caregivers.

The day will also include 🎨 art with Bobby lafrance of Bobby Lafrance and Midia Joy Saunders | Artist & Facilitator of My Joy Academy leading healing art, sound healing and mindfulness moments.

💛 Want to join us? We’re looking for big-hearted volunteers! Come spend the day connecting with our children and caregivers and helping us create another meaningful Family Unification experience.

A very special thank you to Uber for continuing to provide safe transportation for our children and caregivers to and from our events. Your support allows our families to travel together and access experiences like these. We truly could not do this work without you.

💛 Our next Family Unification Event is this Saturday and we’re looking for more amazing volunteers to join us! 💛

We’re excited to be back at the incredible Belafonte Tacolcy Center Belafonte TACOLCY Center for another Tinkerbell’s Kids Family Unification Event filled with connection, learning, creativity and fun!

Our children and caregivers will enjoy ♟️ chess with Chess Wizards , 🎭 Halloween mask making with Bobby Lafrance , ✨ sound healing and journaling with My Joy Academy , 👕 a clothing pop-up shop, 🎓 college readiness, games, raffles, lunch and more!

Our volunteers are at the heart of what we do, and we are so grateful for each and every one of you. 💛 Your time, your presence and the care you give our children help make these special days possible.

And we’d love to welcome more big-hearted people to our volunteer family! 🫶 Spend a few hours with us, connect with our children and caregivers, and be part of a community helping our children soar beyond adversity.

💜 Getting SET for Give Miami Day 2026!

Last week, the Tinkerbell’s Kids team joined Miami’s nonprofit community at the Give Miami Day SET Summit - a day dedicated to learning, connecting, and preparing for one of Miami’s biggest days of generosity.

We left inspired with new ideas for sharing our story, strengthening our impact, and continuing to build a community that shows up for children and families impacted by parental incarceration.

💻🎨 Look at these masterpieces!

During our Family Unification Event at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami , our children explored creative coding with Code/Art , bringing art and technology together to create their own original digital artwork. ✨

We love seeing their creativity come to life while being introduced to the possibilities of coding and computer science.

A heartfelt thank you to Code/Art for creating this experience for our children, and to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami for welcoming our children and families into their space. 💙
