GIPA - German International Parent Association GIPA is the non profit parent organization supporting the German Language program at Sunset Elementary, G.W. These programs include Sunset Elementary, Henry S.

Carver Middle and
Coral Reef High School-IB Academy school. GIPA is the non profit parent organization which supports and promotes excellence in education of the German language and culture at our participating magnet programs. West laboratory Elementary, Carver Middle and Coral Reef High Schools. Through our membership, fundraisers, sponsors and an annual contribution from the German government,

we provide support for teachers, educational supplies and activities to enhance the education of our participating students.

🇩🇪❤️ From first grade to senior year, the road our students have traveled and the memories they created through GIPA and the German Program will stay with them long after they move on to their next chapter.

The German American Social Club of Greater Miami proudly awards the Erich Dietsch Award to students who met the scholarship criteria.

We are incredibly proud to recognize the following students for receiving the Urkunde – Certificate of Excellence presented by the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Miami for their outstanding performance and dedication in learning the German language.

This special recognition, awarded by Consul General Christofer Burger, celebrates students who have demonstrated excellence, commitment, and enthusiasm in their German studies at such a young age.

We are so proud of our talented 5th graders who recently completed their German A2 Exam! Their hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm for learning German have truly paid off.

As many of our students prepare to continue their journey at G.W. Carver Middle School, we celebrate this important milestone and all they have accomplished throughout the year.

🌟 A Week of Celebration for Our Carver German Students! 🇩🇪

As the school year winds down, there is so much to celebrate in the Carver German Program!

Congratulations to our 8th grade IS and IE students on their graduation today!

👏 Our 7IS students achieved an incredible 100% pass rate on the DSDI Oral Exam — a true testament to their dedication, preparation, and growing language skills.

🎓 Our 8IS students also successfully completed the AP Exam.

🧪 Our 8IE students successfully completed the A2 exam, continuing their impressive language accomplishments.

Students also enjoyed a special end-of-year lunch and community gathering, bringing classmates together to celebrate friendships, achievements, and another successful year in the German program.

These moments of academic excellence and community connection are what make our program so special. A heartfelt thank you to our teachers, families, GIPA members, and the support of our administration whose continued encouragement helps create meaningful opportunities for our students each year.
