The Motivational Edge

🔥🏀 to a proud moment for The Edge family!

In 2022, Miami Heat and Florida Blue helped transform our Allapattah campus into a Miami Heat Learn & Play Center, giving our young people an upgraded space to learn, create, and grow.

Looking back reminds us how much it means when partners show up for our youth. Investing in the spaces where children spend their time sends a powerful message: You matter. Your future matters. We believe in you.

Still grateful. Still building. Still moving young lives forward. ❤️

The world may have shut down, but creativity at The Edge never did. 🎶🔥

to the COVID days, when so much of the world came to a standstill. Behind the doors of The Edge, our team was still creating, mentoring, connecting, and finding ways to keep our young people inspired.

Here’s a little behind-the-scenes look at the making of The Motivational Edge Anthem with Teaching Artist, ICEHOUSE WORLDWIDE CEO/PRODUCER breaking down the creative process and his student Antonio laying down the drums in the studio. 🥁🎧

This is what The Edge has always been about: giving young people a place to create, learn from mentors, discover their talents, and be part of something bigger.

Even when the world went quiet, we kept making noise. 💥

From making fresh pasta to bringing home dinner for the family, this was an experience our students won’t forget!

A huge THANK YOU to Il Mercato for creating such an incredible hands-on experience for our students. They learned the art of pasta making, got their hands dirty in the kitchen, and walked away with some new culinary skills.

To top it all off, every student went home with a lasagna to share with their family! ❤️

We’re incredibly grateful to community partners like Il Mercato who give our young people opportunities to learn, create, and experience something new.

🎓🌴

A special throwback to May 2017, when The Motivational Edge was recognized by the University of Miami School of Nursing & Health Studies for our continued support and commitment to their students and school.

Nearly a decade later, partnerships like this remind us that The Edge has always been about more than programs, it’s about building relationships, opening doors, and creating opportunities for young people and communities.
