💙✨ Congrats to Adam Stolz – Our next Walk Star of the 2026 Walk Season!

We’re excited to celebrate Adam from team Walk with Adam, who officially earned Walk Star status by raising over $1,000 in support of the 2026 NAMI Miami-Dade Walk for Mental Health Awareness! His dedication to supporting mental health and rallying his community is truly inspiring.

By reaching this milestone, Adam is helping raise awareness, reduce stigma, and fund critical programs that provide free mental health support, education, advocacy, and resources across Miami-Dade.

Even though Walk Day has passed, there’s still time to make an impact! We’re continuing to fundraise as we work toward crossing the finish line for this year’s goal, and every donation helps make a difference in our community.

Want to become a Walk Star? It’s not too late! Raise $1,000 or more during the 2026 Walk season and earn this special recognition while helping support mental health for all.

👉 Donate or continue fundraising at NAMIWalks.org/Miami

Thank you, Adam, for leading with heart and helping move this mission forward ✨💙

💙✨🏳️‍🌈 Happy Pride Month from all of us at NAMI Miami-Dade!

Each June, we honor the vibrant identities, love, and resilience of the LGBTQIA+ community. Pride is a time for celebration, reflection, and unity—but it also carries the history of resistance and courage that sparked a movement. In 1969, the Stonewall uprising became a turning point in LGBTQ+ activism and continues to inspire generations to advocate for visibility, dignity, and change.

Mental health is deeply connected to the right to live openly, safely, and authentically. At NAMI Miami-Dade, we recognize the unique challenges the LGBTQIA+ community may face, along with the strength it takes to show up as yourself in a world that doesn’t always make that easy.

That’s why we’re proud to offer our monthly LGBTQ+ Support Group, held on the second Thursday of each month—a welcoming, affirming space to connect, share, and be in community with others who understand. Whether you’re looking for support, conversation, or simply a place to be yourself, you belong here.

This month and every month, we honor your stories, your resilience, and your joy. We stand with you in Pride, in advocacy, and in the ongoing work toward equality and mental wellness for all. 🏳️‍⚧️✨💙

💚✨ May is Mental Health Awareness Month

➡️ Swipe to see some of the moments that made May so meaningful.

This month at NAMI Miami-Dade was filled with connection, community, and moments that reminded us why this work matters.

From powerful conversations around mental health awareness to meaningful community gatherings and continued support group spaces, May was all about showing up for one another and breaking stigma together.

We are so grateful to everyone who walked, volunteered, donated, shared their story, or simply showed up in support of mental health. Every action, big or small, helps strengthen the community we’re building together.

And as we move forward, we’re carrying that same energy and momentum into everything ahead.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us. See you next May! ✨💚

💙✨ “It’s not a sprint. It’s a walk.”

During the 2026 NAMI Miami-Dade Walk for Mental Health Awareness, Local 10 News reporter Isabella Martin spoke with our Vice Chair of the Board, Adam Stolz, about the power of community and the importance of breaking the stigma surrounding mental health.

With thousands of participants gathered at loanDepot Park, Adam shared how events like the Walk help remind people that it’s okay to talk about mental health and seek support when they need it.

He also reflected on why the Walk itself is so meaningful: because mental health is a journey. It’s something people learn to manage through connection, support, and community every step of the way.

We’re currently 93% of the way toward our $425,000 fundraising goal, and donations remain open through June 16th. Every contribution helps support NAMI Miami-Dade’s free mental health programs, support groups, education, and advocacy efforts throughout our community.

Help us take the final steps together by donating at NAMIWalks.org/Miami. ✨💙

💙✨ Meet the people behind our support groups

At NAMI Miami-Dade, our support groups are led by facilitators who help create spaces rooted in trust, understanding, and shared experience—where people can show up exactly as they are.

Today, we’re highlighting Veronica Mills, who facilitates our Black Peer Support Group and General Adult Support Groups for individuals ages 18 and older.

For Veronica, facilitating a support group is a meaningful part of her own mental health and recovery journey. These spaces help keep her grounded, remind her that she’s not alone, and offer an opportunity to support others while continuing to care for herself.

Her message to anyone attending for the first time is simple: you don’t need to have everything figured out before joining a group. Whether you’re ready to share or listen, you are welcome exactly as you are. Support groups are built on community, and that community includes you.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll continue introducing more of the incredible facilitators who help make this work possible—so stay tuned to meet more of the people behind the support. ✨💙
