St. Jude Festival 2026 Is Almost Here — Join Us!

A heartfelt thank you to all the wonderful ladies and everyone who came today to help prepare for our Annual St. Jude Festival!

I was truly surprised and deeply touched to see how many ladies responded to our invitation and generously offered their time and talents to help our church. Your dedication, generosity, and love for our parish are a beautiful blessing!

May the Lord bless each one of you and your families abundantly!

We look forward to seeing you again next week for another day of festival preparations. Stay tuned for more details!

Our celebration of St. Jude will begin with the Novena on October 19, followed by our festival celebrations on Saturday, October 24, and Sunday, October 25, and our great celebration of the Feast of St. Jude on Wednesday, October 28!

Together, with faith, love, and unity, we continue building a stronger parish family.

A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful St. Jude Youth Group for sponsoring and organizing their first Family Night dinner last night!

Following our beautiful Divine Liturgy, we gathered as one parish family to enjoy delicious pizza generously provided by our youth group. It was a successful and joyful evening filled with fellowship, friendship, and community spirit.

I sincerely encourage all families to bring their children and young people to church and invite them to become actively involved in the life of our parish.

Our young people are not simply the future of the Church; they are already the Church of today! They belong here, they have a place here, and their presence makes our community stronger and more alive.

May God bless our youth group, their families, and everyone who helped make this beautiful evening possible!

A reading from the Holy Gospel according to St. Luke the Evangelist (6:31-36)
The Lord said, “Even as you wish men to do to you, so also do you to them. And if you love those who love you, what merit have you? For even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what merit have you? For even sinners do that. And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive in return, what merit have you? For even sinners lend to sinners that they may get back as much in return. But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, not hoping for any return, and your reward shall be great, and you shall be children of the Most High, for He is kind towards the ungrateful and evil. Be merciful, therefore, even as your Father is merciful.”

1th Sunday After the Exaltation of the Holy Cross – The Miraculous Catch

A reading from the Holy Gospel according to St. Luke the Evangelist
At that time Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret. And he saw two boats moored by the lake, but the fishermen had left them and were washing their nets. And getting into one of the boats, the one that was Simon’s, he asked him to put out a little from the land. And sitting down, he began to teach the crowds from the boat. But when he had stopped speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into the deep, and lower your nets for a catch.” And Simon answered and said to him, “Master, the whole night through we have toiled and have taken nothing; but at your word I will lower the net.” And when they had done so, they caught a great number of fishes, but their net was breaking. And they called to their comrades in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink. But when Simon Peter saw this, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord,” For he and all who were with him were amazed at the catch of fish they had made; and so also were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid; from now on you shall catch men.” And when they had brought their boats to land, they left all and followed him.

I warmly encourage more ladies to join this beautiful group and lend a helping hand. Remember, this is not just our church—it is YOUR church, our spiritual home, and our shared responsibility.
