The Drums of War are beating!

Have you registered for War of the Phoenix V - 2027 yet?

Did you indicate you were camping with the Barony of Twin Moons?

If you have done so or you plan too, please complete the BTM 2026 Land Request form. Requesting land is a two step process, unless you want to be in overflow/open camping. It doesn't matter which order they are done in, as long as they are both complete before they close.
Pre-registration for WofP V for Land Allocation closes December 31, 2026.
Complete the BTM Land Request form closes January 17, 2027.

What is a community?

I recently identified the reason I have always loved watching different communities is the people are so amazing, and different, and yet all the same. We all want friends to hang out with. In a world where being with someone is so hard we offer that ability to meet people and make lifelong friends and have a place to explore life right here. We have that ability to meet friends from all walks of life and learn about the wonders of humanity throughout the ages and experience the wonders of life with one another. We get to watch city states evolve and Interkingdom politics develop and chase the excitement that we create. We get to watch young babies grow into squires, students, and peers, nobility and kings and queens and dukes. We get to watch regimes change and institute policies for one reason and then another change it for another all for the benefit of their special interests. This community offers so much in a world where we are looking for human connection.

Being a Defender means something different to each competitor who enters the list, to each populace member who watches their actions, witnesses them upon the list field and judges their prowess, their presence, how they engage with their peers, how their friends smile and laugh with them. Embracing their community and growing it. My Defenders will be responsible for representing their community. You need to be their voice. You are their Defender. You will be responsible for making this place grow. We had 200 new members on the Aten roster in this new roster update, find out why they are here, and what will keep them here. Defend their idea of what the SCA Dream is and be their voice.

Today we have our Premiere Thrown Weapons tournament, and we are so honored to have these wonderful entrants who have created an amazing space and have worked so hard to grow a friendly space for our friends to be.

It is I a wild Tiny!

The Twin Moons Arts and Science Baronial Defender!

The challenge for this year's Arts and Sciences tournament is Iteration!

I love to see changes and variation! Show through documentation if needed or preferably through multiple pieces things that you have learned! Did you used to overlock all your edges and sew your fabric together at the same time and now you hand stitch and summon pictures with your needlework? Did you upgrade your tool kit and add new punches or a new cool thing that leveled up your Artwork and understanding of what your creating? Keep projects within the last 1 year to show how you are currently growing and improving your art!

Please send letter of intent to [email protected] and let me know your medium of artistry so I can attempt to line up an expert or two for your niche! Documentation is required, 1 page minimum required, who, what, where, why? If you can please email a copy of your documentation to me as soon as you can I would appreciate it. But there is no deadline.

Hear ye! Hear ye!

Twin Moons is searching for new Defenders in October. Not only are fighters and artisans needed but cooks as well!

The annual Chili cookoff will be held 10/17 at Prospector Park.

The challenge is to create the best pot of chili using a minimum of one fruit, two beans and three vegetables.

There will be camp stoves available at the park.

Let the challenge begin!
