Here’s the thing about jail and prison ministry. PRESENCE MATTERS.

Day after day, Good News Global chaplains are there, inside jails and prisons, walking alongside men and women when they need it most. They listen. They pray. They counsel. They open God’s Word. And they faithfully point people to the hope and freedom found in Jesus Christ.

Here’s the thing about jail and prison ministry. YOUR INVOLVEMENT MATTERS.

We are so grateful for the prayers and support of our ministry partners, who make it possible for our chaplains to be present behind bars.

Equipped to Serve. Ready to Share the Gospel!

Behind every Gospel encounter in a prison is someone who has answered God's call to show up, share His Word, and bring hope to those behind bars.

And that calling deserves to be strengthened!

On October 9, our Good News Global chaplains and volunteers in Nigeria gathered in Abak, Akwa Ibom State, for a day of training, encouragement, and renewed commitment to their mission.

Together, they revisited the heart of Good News Global's ministry, shared experiences and ideas, and explored ways to serve even more effectively in correctional facilities.

Because when we strengthen those who carry the Gospel, we strengthen the ministry reaching those who need to hear it.

We're grateful for these faithful men and women who continue to say YES to God's calling!

🙏 Will you join us in praying for our Nigeria team as they bring the hope and love of Jesus Christ to incarcerated men and women and their families?

Some people believe there's no hope once you're behind bars.

We couldn't disagree more.

Because we know that no jail or prison wall can keep out the hope of Jesus Christ.

Every day, Good News Global chaplains and volunteers walk into jails and prisons worldwide to share that hope with men and women who may feel forgotten, broken, or beyond redemption.

They listen. They pray. They open God's Word. And they share the Good News that no one is beyond the reach of God's love, grace, and forgiveness.

A prison sentence doesn't have to define a life. Jesus offers a freedom that no prison wall can take away.

Will you help us carry that hope behind bars?

Someone behind bars is waiting.

Waiting for someone to listen.
Waiting for someone to care.
Waiting for someone to open God's Word.

Through faithful presence and caring relationships, Good News Global chaplains invite incarcerated men and women to discover the hope, forgiveness, and freedom found in Jesus Christ.

The Gospel changes everything.

WHEN HOPE FEELS FAR AWAY.
Behind bars, hope can be hard to hold onto. Days become months. Months become years. Relationships change. Families move forward. And it can begin to feel as though the world has forgotten you.

But God has not.
“But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.” — Isaiah 40:31

Every day, Good News Global chaplains have the privilege of reminding men and women behind bars that their circumstances do not have the final word.

There is hope. There is grace. There is a Savior. And no prison wall can keep Him out.

That’s the hope we carry behind bars. Be a part of the movement!
