Flashback Friday: Troop 9 2007 summer camp photo at Camp Yocona. Scoutmaster Barry Hucks with Assistant Scoutmasters Ken Little & Mike Purvis. ALL 10 scouts in attendance achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.

TBT: This trophy coverplate is all that is left from the 4 ft tall 1983 Choctaw Area Council BSA tournament championship trophy won by Troop 9 back in the day (34 years ago). Trophy was found broken in the troop supply room back around 2008. Great tournament that the local council did for about 3 years in a row. Highland Baptist Church Troop 9 defeated Troop 7 to take the championship in the double elimination all day tournament. Undefeated in 5 games! Some of the Team members included Steve Corey, Jim McCay, Ken Winborn, Andrew & Danny Meyers, Skip Scaggs, Jon Hamilton, Scotty Florey, & Robbie Hamlett. Coached by ScoutMaster Georger Meyers. Troooooop 9! Troop 9!!!!

TBT: The Greatest Air Band that ever put on a concert at Camp Binachi. The Troop 9 Rockers! Steve Corey on lead guitar, Jim McCay on bass guitar and Ken Winborn on drums. All 3 were lead vocalists. Vintage photo from back in the very early 1980s Rumor floating around that there is a reunion tour in the works. However reliable sources confirm that it won't happen because all three original band members were quoted saying "some things do not need to be re-lived and most importantly, you couldn't pay us enough to do it again!"

The Gathering of Eagles Banquet was Saturday Night. This is the yearly banquet honoring all the Eagle Scouts for the past year in the local council. Troop 9 had 7 Eagle Scouts since last years banquet which was the most (by far) in the local council. These Troop 9 Eagles had a scouting resume second to none. Thanks to all the Leaders and to Highland Baptist Church for helping them to reach the finish line in 2014.
