Designed with families in mind and using “best practice” examples from sister institutions across the country, the facility offers a home-like setting with an open floor plan, gathering places for family g

roups, teens and children as well as secluded areas for quiet reflection. FedExFamilyHouse is LEED Gold certified and is one of the country's first sustainable, green pediatric residence facilities. LEED is the country’s benchmark for green building design and construction. Children and their families come from all over the U.S. and the world to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital for expert treatment. Each year, more than 2,500 families travel farther than 150 miles for Le Bonheur’s services. Some come from thousands of miles away seeking very specialized care. Most of these families find themselves without the support systems they depend on at home. Some are lucky enough to have extended family or friends join them. All of them want to stay as close as possible to their child. FedExFamilyHouse is a comfortable retreat from life in the hospital. FedExFamilyHouse is a landmark that exemplifies corporate citizenship, a genuine sense of hospitality and heartfelt concern for Le Bonheur patients and families.

This week, we welcomed our 5K committee for a behind-the-scenes tour of & FedExFamilyHouse.

Seeing firsthand the spaces where families find comfort, rest and support brought the mission to life in an even bigger way. It was a powerful reminder that every registration, sponsorship, volunteer hour and donation help keep families close when they need it most.

Our FedExFamilyHouse family had the incredible opportunity to cheer on Whitley Duncan as she threw the first pitch at the game on Saturday!

Whitley and her family got to enjoy an unforgettable evening at the ballpark, and thanks to the generosity of & the Redbirds, a special jersey was auctioned to help raise funds to the support the families who call FedExFamilyHouse home while they are being treated at Le Bonheur.

We want to give a very big thank you to our friends at Medtronic for spending their Friday preparing bagged lunches for our families. They stocked our Community Refrigerator with a variety of sandwiches, fresh fruit, cookies, Gatorade & so much care.

Every lunch was assembled with intention, making it easy for families to grab a nourishing meal. It's acts of kindness like these that make FedExFamilyHouse feel a little more at home.

Our volunteers have been keeping busy & making a meaningful impact every step of the way.

We had welcomed people from the FedEx Aircraft Engineering Support Team, as well as the FedEx IT Team and we couldn't thank them enough!

Whether they're creating a warm welcome for new families or adding a little extra joy through homemade cookies, these volunteers remind our families that they're surrounded by a community who cares.
