What a weekend! This past Saturday, more than 450 people showed up, showed out, and brought incredible energy to the Discover the Greenway 5K+ 2026.

We’re still soaking it all in, the excitement, the community spirit, and the shared love for the Wolf River. None of it would have been possible without the amazing organizations who stepped up to support this event.

There are moments in conservation when everything hangs in the balance.

A wetland. A forest. A stretch of the Wolf River watershed that can still be protected… until suddenly, it can’t.

Because of supporters like you, the Wolf River Conservancy acted when it mattered most this year. Together, we protected 768 acres of one of the most ecologically valuable properties in the watershed and created the 188-acre North Fork Preserve, a remarkable landscape of wetlands, towering bald cypress trees, and critical wildlife habitat.

But more land is at risk right now. The next critical property won’t wait.
