Our Vision: Enhanced quality of life of all Muslim families in Shelby County. Amana aims to provide support to Memphis Muslims in need through diverse channels of proactive assistance. Amana was born with the intention of upholding the rights of our brothers and sisters that stand shoulder to shoulder with us in salat. Our focus is facilitating diversity in sadaqa to alleviate financial constrain

ts on Muslim families in creative ways that uphold the sunnah of wealth and resource distribution. With creative approaches to diversifying paths of giving back we can challenge generational poverty in our community and effect long lasting change. PROJECT Sitrah, meaning protection/covering, aims to create a community involved permanent system of donation management in the 901. We have been collecting, sorting, cleaning and distributing clothing to local muslims in need for over 4 years. Now we are working to increase the scale of & access to this program. We hope to destigmatize re-use in our community and bring awareness to local disparity. Masajid are often overwhelmed with donations from those of you that understand this. Our goal is to direct quality items from those of us that are no longer in need of them, to Muslim neighbors that are. Gain the ajr of sadaqa and save the best for your brothers and sisters. As Muslims our communities should reflect the balance of resource distribution first. We should be the leaders of bridging the gap with collective generosity in all aspects, not just to physical structures but family units. We should have Muslim section 8housing, safe and clean, close to masjid. Muslim elderly units. Clothing and household Sadaqa centers. Widows monthly stipends. Home ownership down payment assistance fund. Back to school stipends. We should be eradicating poverty within our ranks. Investing in dreams, coaching business savvy. Sharing information instead of stealing ideas and calling efforts "too difficult or inconvenient". We should be rallying support to every out of the box endeavor for the greater good. & Having tawakul for its baraka.
Smh . May Allah swt guide us all 🤲🏼

Assalamualaikum all,
Alhamdulilah for the opportunity to strive for the sake of Allah in assisting those in need while reviving the Sunnah of giving clothing & items as Sadaqa. The Trailer idea has not gained enough momentum unfortunately. Alhamdulilah our overall goal was to influence the culture of giving in Memphis and inshallah ta3ala, we have done so, albeit not to the end of our vision. قدر الله وماشاء فعل. Amana will be dismantling. We thank our volunteers that assisted in our Eid distributions every year. We ask for your duas that the efforts of others taking this torch in the community are fruitful. Support makes or breaks social services projects, so please assist other efforts fully beithnillah ta3ala. Our WhatsApp groups remain open to facilitate giving directly between masajid congregations. May Allah swt accept from everyone.
