All ingredients have been available at the food pantry with the lavender creamer and chocolate chips on the menu this month

Ingredients – 2 cups of milk, one cup of lavender creamer, 1/4 cup sugar, and of course, top the ice cream with chocolate chips

Starting next Tuesday and continuing until July 14, the food share at the pantry will include a 24 ounce bag of tollhouse morsels. Chocolate chip cookies, cannolis and what else can you do with chocolate chips? My favorite would be whipped cream with chocolate chips on top.

Everyone who comes to the food pantry in the month of May will get a $10 certificate to spend at Mcnans variety store in Philmont. In addition, the first picture shows some items that will be available on a limited basis. We do not have enough for everyone so that will be a choice that you have when you come in. All of this is in addition to our regular monthly menu. Remember, we’re open every Tuesday from 10:30 to 11:30 and again from 5:30 to 6:30. You are invited to come once a month. You can stop by again during the month to take advantage of the free table.

Everything you need to celebrate a birthday. Combine the cake mix with the can of soda, bake the cake, frost it and put the candles on. There is even a birthday card. We had a donor bring in four of these kits. You don’t need the eggs and you don’t need the oil. Easy!

Food pantry offerings through May 5 are pictured here. The pantry is open on Tuesdays for Town of Claverack residents in need and you are welcome to come once a month to receive food. However, you can come every week to shop from the free table. Everyone gets a cold bag, a dry bag and a bag with a variety of items. In addition, the last picture shows the free table. Families of four or more receive an additional two bags that are not pictured here.  the pantry is open every Tuesday from 10:30 to 11:30 and from 5:30 to 6:30.

We have a supply of canned salmon. You are welcome to a can or two if you can use them. Today is Tuesday and the food pantry is open in the lower level of the town offices. Stop by and pick up your salmon.

Shepherd’s pie using hamburger, mixed vegetables and mashed potatoes from the food pantry. Beef gravy was added from the free table. Remember the free table is available to everyone every week. Tuesday, the pantry is open from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM and from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM. If you are new to the food pantry, just bring a piece of mail showing your address.

Some of our recent donations are handmade hats and some even come with mittens. Stop down between 1030 and 1130 and again from 5:30 to 6:30 every Tuesday. The free table is always available even if you have already been to the food pantry for the month
