⚾ PLAYOFF RUNDOWN: Championship Bound & Hard-Fought Battles! 🥎
We’ve been a little quiet on our reporting lately, but what a week of playoff baseball and softball it has been! We are incredibly proud of all our teams who stepped up and made it to the postseason.

A massive shoutout goes to our Kinderhook Elks Minor Softball Team, who fought their way all the way to the Championship Game tonight in Hudson, finishing as the proud District Runners-Up! 🥈🎉

Here is the full recap of the incredible efforts from across our divisions:

🥈 Minor Softball: Kinderhook Elks
Championship Game: HLL Minors-AOW 4, Kinderhook Elks 2
In an absolute heartbreaker at Harry Howard Ave, the Elks took an early lead with a steal of home in the 2nd. The game was locked at 2-2 until the bottom of the 5th when HLL pulled ahead.

On the Rubber: Brynleigh R went the distance, striking out 9 over 5 innings.

At the Plate & Basepaths: Brynleigh led with 2 hits; she and Harlow K paced an aggressive 6-base stealing night. Carson K anchored the flawless defense with 9 plays.

Semifinal Game: Kinderhook Elks 8, NCLL Minors Pooch HQ 7
To punch their ticket to the finals, the Elks won a Monday thriller! Tied 7-7 in the 6th, the Elks walked it off.

Stat Leaders: Ava M went 2-for-3 with 2 RBIs. The Elks walked 10 times and stole a wild 25 bases, led by multi-steals from Ivy G, Giselle F, Ava, Brynleigh, Suzanne P, Thea P, Oakley V, and Emma H. Brynleigh struck out 13 on the mound.

🔥 Majors Baseball & Softball
Playoff Action: HLL Majors-FASNY 17, Chatham Fire (Sanford) 3
Our Chatham Fire team ran into a powerhouse FASNY squad on Tuesday. Despite the tough loss, our girls showed relentless fight and amazing aggressive baserunning.

Highlights: Dakota B went a perfect 2-for-2 from the 9-spot. Chloe C and Dakota each drove in a run, while the team racked up 9 stolen bases (multi-steals by Mia M, Addison H, and Dakota). Mia also struck out 5 from the circle.

Playoff Action: CYL Majors SciangulaLaw 9, Ghent VFW 7
Ghent VFW out-hit their opponent 11 to 7 on Monday but fell just short in a high-scoring battle.

Highlights: Jacob B put on a absolute power display, hitting TWO home runs (including an inside-the-parker) and driving in 3 runs! Kai M had a huge 3-hit night and struck out 11 batters on the mound. Smith G and Kai also swiped multiple bags.

Playoff Action: Greenville1 8, A. Colarusso and Son 5
Colarusso fought hard on Friday at the Chatham Complex, briefly taking the lead in the 1st inning, but Greenville managed to answer back late.

Highlights: Gannon L was electric on the mound, throwing 4 innings of no-hit ball while striking out 10! At the plate, Nixon B led the offense, going 1-for-2 with 2 RBIs, while Silas M drew 2 walks.

Thank you to all the coaches, parents, and volunteers who made this playoff push possible, and congratulations again to our District Second-Place Kinderhook Elks! Let's keep building for next year! 🔴🔵⚾

⚾️ What a Week, Chatham Little League! 🥎
That is a wrap on the regular season for many of our teams! From nail-biters to massive offensive performances, our players left everything out on the dirt this week. Now, it’s playoff time! 🎉
🏆 Postseason Bound: Majors Locking Down the #2 Seeds!
Huge congratulations to both our Majors Softball and Majors Baseball teams! Both divisions have officially secured the #2 Seed heading into the playoffs. Grab those first-round byes, get some rest, and get ready to bring the heat! 🔥
Special shoutout to Chatham Fire (Sanford) Majors, who absolute fired on all cylinders on Tuesday with a dominant 17-7 win over Taconic Hills! Mia M struck out an incredible 12 batters over 4 innings, while Claire C led the bats with a multi-hit game and Davianna C drove in 3 runs!
🔮 Minors Division: The Playoff Picture Is Heating Up!
We are still waiting on official final standings for our Minors brackets, but the future is looking bright! It is looking like at least one of our Minors Baseball teams and one of our Minors Softball teams will be punching their ticket to the postseason. Stay tuned!
Here is how our Minors battled it out in their final regular-season matchups:
Metzwood Minors (Softball): Split a wild week of action! On Friday, the bats were absolutely blistered in a thrilling 12-10 victory over Van Tassel. Hailey K broke the game wide open with a huge 2-RBI double, Prudence C collected 2 hits, and Kinsley D struck out 6 in relief to seal the win!
Chatham Fire (Ocean) Minors (Baseball): These boys never stopped fighting. Despite a tough comeback loss to Greenville and an 11-6 battle against a tough Ghent Fire Dept. squad on Friday, the hustle was unmatched. Jackson C, Michael R, and Eulen K tore up the basepaths stealing home, while Oliver E and Caleb W stayed hot with 2 hits each!
🤝 Shoutout to our Ghent Teams!
Great week of baseball:
Ghent VFW (Majors) pulled off a gritty 6-3 win over Germantown on Tuesday, led by Max F going 2-for-2 and Smith G throwing 5 strong innings with 7 Ks!
Ghent Fire Dept. (Minors) took two big victories this week, holding off a late surge by Greenville (12-10) and topping Chatham Fire on Friday behind a big 2-run home run from Henry K!

📣 To all our players, coaches, and volunteers: Thank you for an incredible regular season. Your dedication, sportsmanship, and hustle make Chatham LL the best place to play.

Good luck to all our teams entering the postseason—let's go get 'em! 🔴⚫️

🏆 CLASS B SECTION 2 CHAMPIONS! 🏆
Huge congratulations to the Chatham Varsity Softball team on their incredible sectional championship win! 🥎✨
Watching this team dominate on the field is amazing, but it’s even more special for us here at Chatham Little League. We remember when many of these incredible athletes were just starting out on our fields—learning how to swing, catching their first pop flies, and building the foundation for the champions they are today.
What makes us even prouder is that these girls haven't forgotten where they started. Not only are they crushing it at the varsity level, but several of them also take the time to give back to our league by umpiring our Minor league games, mentoring the next generation of players with patience, leadership, and a deep love for the game. 💙
Seeing your hard work, dedication, and character pay off is exactly why we do what we do. You are such a phenomenal inspiration to our younger players who look up to you—both when you're in the varsity uniform and when you're behind the plate!
Chatham is so incredibly proud of you all. Keep bringing the heat as you move forward! 🔥🔴⚫️
