The Galilee Center offers year-round assistance through its Farmworker Center and Our Lady of Guadalupe Shelter, the weekly food distribution of fr
esh vegetables and fruit, canned and dry goods, plus vital services for infants, children and seniors. Galilee Center further operates two Thrift Stores that enable the community to purchase clothing, shoes and other necessities through vouchers. The east Coachella Valley nonprofit, recognized for its wide-ranging services to many of the area’s overlooked, relies largely on the generosity of the public to sustain its ability to provide clothing, food and shelter to all ages from its 20,000 sq. The Galilee Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that fulfills the needs of local underprivileged and disadvantaged families, children and farmworkers in the east Coachella Valley. The Galilee Center is in its eighth year of operation by locally respected founders Claudia Castorena and Gloria Gomez.
