💔🐾 ANOTHER LIFE SAVED, BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP! 🐾💔

Earlier today, after sharing our plea for help with mounting veterinary bills, our foster Rosa from Thermal sent us a video of a tiny kitten on a bridge with cars passing by. Thankfully, she was able to get him to safety. 🧡

With nothing but a box, Rosa brought him to Laura, who gave him a bath, cleaned him up, and made sure he received his first vaccine. One more precious life has a chance! 🥹🧡

But he still needs a veterinary exam, deworming, vaccinations, and eventually neutering. Meanwhile, our medical bills continue to pile up, and we currently have 96 cats and dogs depending on us.

🧡 PLEASE HELP US KEEP SAVING LIVES!

🥫 Donations of canned kitten food and supplies are greatly appreciated.

🙏 Every monetary donation, even $5, helps cover medical expenses.

We never want money to be the reason an animal goes without the care they desperately need, but we cannot do this alone. The emergencies keep coming, and we need our community now more than ever.

If you cannot donate, please share this post. And if you would like to help save lives, please consider becoming a foster. Every helping hand makes a difference. 🧡🐾

Together, we can give these vulnerable animals the second chance they deserve. 🧡

💔🐾 WE NEED YOUR HELP! 🐾💔

Lately, it feels like one medical emergency after another, and our veterinary bills continue to pile up. 😔

Last night, our sweet kittens Pip and Petia were rushed to VEG Emergency Hospital after experiencing diarrhea and refusing to eat. Thankfully, both tested negative for panleukopenia! 🙏🏼🥹 They received fluids and medication to help them feel better.

We currently have 53 cats and 43 dogs under our care. That’s 96 precious lives depending on us. ❤️

We are doing everything we can, but the financial burden is becoming overwhelming. We never want money to be the reason an animal doesn’t receive the medical care they desperately need.

🙏🏼 Please consider donating, even if it’s just $5. Every dollar truly makes a difference.

SHE WAS WORTH THE WAIT.✨ SKITTLES HAS BEEN ADOPTED!🥹

After three months at our Palm Desert cattery, Skittles has finally found her forever home!

When she first arrived, this little girl was timid and skittish. But as her siblings found their forever homes, her personality began to blossom. Soon, she was stretching out her little paws to get people’s attention, hoping they’d stop for cuddles. Sweet, talkative, and full of love, she quickly became a favorite among the Petco staff.

We’re so happy to share that Skittles has joined the Mamikunian family, where she gains a human sibling, Scarlett, two feline siblings, Duchess and Toulouse, and a furry pup sibling, Poppi!

Her new family will split their time between Los Angeles and Indian Wells, giving Skittles a whole new world to explore once she’s settled in. With slow, proper introductions to her new siblings and lots of love ahead, we’re so excited for this next chapter.

A special thank you to Crystal for fostering Skittles and her siblings and helping this sweet girl come out of her shell. As the last kitten from her litter waiting for a home, seeing her finally find her family makes this adoption extra special.

Happy tails, Skittles! You were worth the wait, little girl.

And mama Riley is still waiting for her own happily ever after. We hope her family is just around the corner, too.

🧡LANCE HAS BEEN ADOPTED! ✨

We couldn’t be happier for this handsome orange and white boy! Lance had his meet and greet today, and we’re so excited to say he has officially found his forever home with the Becerra family!

Lance is the last of his litter to be adopted! His brother Nico found his family at our last adoption event, and his sibling Zeebo became a foster fail when his amazing foster mom, Kimberly, decided to adopt him! A huge thank you to Kimberly for taking such wonderful care of these sweet babies. We are so grateful for fosters like her!

Lance now has two human siblings, Zoe and Madison, and a furry sibling, Nori! Their meet and greet went well, and everyone seemed curious about one another. We can’t wait to see Lance settle into his new life surrounded by so much love!

Happy tails, Lance! You did it, buddy!

✨Those blue eyes have a story to tell…

Friday night, we received a message about a small Siamese kitten who was barely hanging on. He was dehydrated, malnourished, severely underweight, and suffering from an upper respiratory infection.

On Saturday afternoon, Chris made the trip to Thermal to bring him to safety. The woman who found him did the best she could, but her own pets weren’t welcoming to him, and she knew he needed help. When she first found him, she honestly thought he was dead because he was in such bad shape. With rain on the way, this little guy needed someone to step in. We cleaned him up, started antibiotics, and got him settled into rescue. He’s still got a long road ahead. We’re guessing he’s around three months old, but he’s so underweight that it’s hard to know for sure. He needs medication, proper nutrition, lots of TLC, and time to grow stronger.

We’re grateful that a few recent adoptions opened up space for us to take him in, and thankful to Nikki for caring for him as he begins his recovery. With all the rain we’ve had, we can’t help but think about what might have happened if he’d been left out there.

Now, we’d love a little help getting him what he needs.

🐾 Nutri-Cal for extra nutritional support
🐾 Purina FortiFlora probiotics
🐾 A humidifier, not currently on our wish list, but incredibly helpful for little ones battling respiratory infections.

Donations of supplies or contributions toward his care are always appreciated. Every little bit helps us say YES when another life needs saving.

This little blue eyed boy has already been through so much in his short life. He deserved a chance, and we’re just thankful he got one. Now it’s our turn to help him heal. 💙

🌧️🐾 RAIN, RAIN, DON’T GO AWAY! 😂

Meet North the Husky and Valentina the Shepherd, two adorable goofballs looking for their forever homes! 🐕💕

We rescued these two from North Shore as strays, and apparently nobody told them that when it rains, you’re supposed to come INSIDE! 😂

While everyone else is trying to stay dry, North and Valentina are living their best lives in the rain! Meanwhile, I’m outside getting completely drenched trying to convince them to come in! 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣

Their response? “No thanks, we’re having fun!” 🌧️🐾

Both are available for adoption and would love families who appreciate their fun personalities and little adventures!

🥳ADOPTED! Jesse is now Ernie! 🏡💙

Ernie’s story started at the Oasis Mobile Home Park when one of our volunteers, Chris, found him. People in the area said he had only shown up a few days earlier, and sadly, we believe he was likely dumped.

When we took Ernie in, his gums were extremely pale and his platelets were very low. He needed care, time, and someone willing to step up for him. Natalie did exactly that. 💙 She took Ernie in when we desperately needed help, cared for him, and helped nurse him back to health. We cannot thank her enough for everything she did for this sweet boy.

Then we needed a foster for just ONE week… and you can probably guess what happened. 😂💙

The Hernandez family opened their home to Ernie and quickly realized he wasn’t going anywhere. Another official foster fail! Ernie now has a wonderful family, a big brother, and a furry sister. 🐶👦🏻

The other two dogs you see in this video were also neutered with the help of Desert Paws Sanctuary. This is why our work in communities like Oasis is so important. Sometimes helping one dog leads us to helping several more.

Thank you to Chris, Natalie, and the Hernandez family for being part of Ernie’s journey.

Happy forever, Ernie! You are finally HOME. 🏡🐾💙
