We do NOT have a formal supply list this year at M**S. It has been recommended to wait until the school starts to see what specific teachers may request, so you do not over buy unnecessary items.
While supply sales are going on, you MAY CONSIDER purchasing the following general items for your child to assist with being more successful in school and at home.
1. Pencils, pencils, and pencils. A new box for each marking period isn’t a bad idea. If your child prefers mechanical, then be sure to buy lead.
2. Colored pencils/hand sharpener
3. Agenda book or 1 subject notebook if your child needs help with organization and writing down homework assignments.
4. 3-ring binder or plastic/fabric file pouch for organization
5. CLEAR (not mesh) book bag IF your child desires to carry a bag from class to class. (No exceptions)
6. Gym: shorts/sweats/leggings, t-shirt, sports bra, socks, tennis shoes, deodorant, brush/comb, hair ties, small hand towel, draw-string bag. (All students are required to change.)
7. TI 30x IIS calculator
8. Hand sanitizer/tissues/feminine products/deodorant/lotion
9. Mirror (non-breakable) w/ magnet
10. Pocket folder for transporting important papers to and from home. Your child may want a folder for every class to better assist with organization.
11. WIRED earbuds or headphones
(no exceptions)
12. Lunch bag (for those who prefer to pack)
NOTE:
1. Student are NOT permitted to use blue tooth at all. No wireless headphones or ear buds are permitted. Students must keep all wired items in their laptop cases or clear backpack. They cannot be worn in the hallways or during class unless directed by a teacher.
2. Students are NOT permitted to use or carry sharpies unless given direct permission from a teacher for a specific project.
3. Students are NOT permitted to carry solid or mesh fabric bags around in the school. They are allowed to carry them to and from school but they must be stored in their lockers during the day. The only exception is going directly to and from gym.
4. Students are NOT permitted to carry water bottles to any class. They may have them in their lockers for in between class drinks, but they must remain there unless there is a medical note from a doctor on file.
5. Students are NOT permitted to wear or carry any type of jacket or coat during the day. Very few classrooms are air-conditioned. Room temperatures vary from class to class throughout the year. We advise keeping a hoodie or sweater of some sort in lockers for as needed use.
