This e-mail is for the workday on Saturday, April 11th.

I am sending this out early, since I will be gone all next week.

Starting time: 8:30 am
Meeting Place: Quivira Road entrance to trail.

Project: We will be doing additional work on the approaches to the RR bridge. We will be adding more RR ties to extend the approach and adding more dirt and limestone.
We are planning on having a few volunteers with equipment to help move dirt, etc. Hopefully, we can have the piles of limbs also removed from the entrance to the trail.

Items needed: Work gloves, shovels, metal rakes.

There is rain predicted for late next week. I will not be in town to update this e-mail about if we are still going to work. I am not sure if I will have access to the page either. If you show up Mark Flynn will be there to let you know if we are working or not.

We are going to be working on the Meadowlark Trail this Saturday.

Start Time: 8:30 am
Meeting Place: Quiviria Road entrance to the trail.
Items to bring: Work gloves, shovels, rakes

Projects: We will be working on filling in some gaps on the south side approach to the new RR bridge. We have rented some equipment to help with this project.

We will also be smoothing out the trail just off of Quivira, it looks like several vehicles have been driving on the trail and left ruts in the limestone screenings.

We will also be working on as many wash out areas as time allows.

We are excited to share the news. The Meadowlark Trail is completed between McPherson and Lindsborg!
This would not be possible without a great board who never gave up on this goal.
We have had so much funding from local organizations and grants to see this project through. We thank all of you for believing we would reach this point.
We especially have to thank all the volunteers who have spent many Saturdays working on this project. It has been a fun ride and I have personally met so many dedicated people and made so many friendships along the way!!
Again thank you to so many people, businesses, grant providers, and personal donations. Can’t even begin to name them all.
Thank you

We had another amazing workday Saturday. We had about 15 volunteers show up at this very busy time of year. You all are amazing volunteers!!

We were able to get the whole 90 foot rail car bridge decked and railings in one of the bridges. We still need to put railings on one last bridge.

The contractor has put down the last load of limestone screenings yesterday!!!

There is still some final touch up work to do and the final blading.

Thank you to everyone who has ever volunteered on this trail. This has been a long journey and so many people over the years have contributed to getting to this point!!
