Today we close The Good Life with the commandment that reaches past our hands and into our wanting. Do not covet. And the word underneath it: enough. We come to the Lord's table together, where the food is free and the only price is admitting you are hungry. Come as you are.

You can have a good day, a genuinely good day, and lose it in about four seconds. You are content with your car until you see the one in your neighbor's driveway. You feel fine about your life until a friend's vacation lands on your screen. Nothing about your life changed. Only the comparison did.

This Sunday we close The Good Life with the last of the Ten Commandments, the only one that reaches past our hands and into our wanting. Do not covet. And underneath it sits a word most of us have stopped believing is possible: enough.

We come to the Lord's table together this week, where the food is free and the only price is admitting you are hungry. Come as you are.

And Wednesday nights are up and running again. KidsZone, middle school youth, and Adult Grace Groups all meet at 6:00 PM, with nursery for the littlest ones and high school youth at 7:15. Grace Groups gather in the Chapel and begin meeting as groups this Wednesday, September 9. A Thursday morning track meets at 11:00 AM and begins September 10, co-led by Sarah Hendricks and Debbie Gieselman. There is still room on either day if you have been meaning to come.

The last of the Ten Commandments is the odd one out. The other nine govern what we do. This one governs what we want. And it turns out coveting is almost never really about the stuff. It is about the life we imagine the stuff would give us, which is why getting the thing never settles it. Press play and pull up a chair with the voices of the Bible.

6:00 PM: babies in the nursery, kids in KidsZone, middle schoolers in Youth Group, parents in Adult Grace Groups. 7:15 PM: high school youth.

First night of the fall, so nobody is behind and nothing is already underway. Easiest week of the year to walk in.

Men of the church--take a minute to fill out this survey about how we can make our men's ministry fit your needs. Thank you!

Fill this out so we can plan something that works for you. Your answers will help us plan gatherings that actually fit your schedule and i...

Most of us know a lot of people at church and are actually known by very few.

In 1739 John Wesley gathered people who asked each other one honest question: how is it with your soul? Those classes, not the preaching, are what drove the Methodist movement. Grace Groups are our attempt to recover that.

Small communities that meet weekly for one hour to grow deeper in faith and watch over each other in love. Not a Bible study. Not a therapy group. Not a place to fix each other's problems. No homework, no curriculum to buy, no preparation required. Just an hour of honest conversation around three simple questions.

The fall season begins Wednesday, September 2 at 6:00 PM, opening with an orientation and a taster so you can see what a group is actually like before committing to one. Fifteen years here or fifteen days, this is open to you.
