Another All Schools Day 5k in the books and we couldn’t be more THANKFUL for our communities support for our program.

We raised a little over $1,200 this year and we couldn’t have done it without corporate sponsors Community Care Hospice and dq.mcpherson!

Today we celebrate who will be graduating from McPherson High School!

Izabelle is kind, smart, GREAT with our youngest athletes, sweet, funny and an awesome friend! While her time with FYR Mac-Town has been split between throwing weights around and playing softball she’s always put in the hard work and dedication in the gym, in the classroom and on the field.

Izabelle has also recently transitioned from being a FYR volunteer and athlete, to coach and mentor to our youth and teen athletes. Izabelle brings a unique set of skills and perspective to our program that we are so grateful for!

While we’ve been focused on gearing up for our 5k we also want to take a moment to highlight our volunteer mentors and coaches who will be graduating this weekend from McPherson High School and McPherson College.

First up! We have who will be graduating from McPherson High School! She has been part of FYR Mac-Town since day one of our program! She’s kind, smart, quick to lend a hand, strong as heck and all around a joy to be around!

Camryn has recently transitioned from FYR athlete and volunteer, to coach and mentor for both our kids and teen classes, and we couldn’t operate without her skill set.

The weather is looking fantastic for our 5k this Saturday!

We will be meeting at the McPherson Water Park at 8:30am for check-in, debriefing. All participants will begin the 5k at 9am.

We will also be taking registrations until the morning of! All participants of all ages and abilities are welcome!
