Help us help Fischer House. Fischer House, with facilities across the country, 2 in Illinois, provides service members, Veterans, and their families a Home Away From Home while a loved one is in the hospital receiving treatment. By saving your pop top tabs and turning them in at the McHenry VFW Post you can help to raise funds to support this great service.

Thursday Sept. 24th the VFW 4600 Post & Auxiliary hosted a live music event for some of the residents at Lovell VA Hospital. Denny Diamond, a Neil Diamond Tribute artist, gave a wonderful performance in the courtyard where the residents enjoyed a wide variety of music on a beautiful sunny fall afternoon.

Thank you Denny and the recreation staff of Lovell VA for making the day a great success.

Thank you to everyone in our community who donated to our Memorial Star project this past May. Because of your generosity we were able to donate $1000 to T.A.P.S.

T.A.P.S. (Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors) provides care and support for families of America's fallen military hero's.

Go to https://www.taps.org for more information on this valuable service organization.
