Happy Father’s Day from the Friends of the Mattapoisett Library! 💛📚

Today, we’re celebrating the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, uncles, mentors, and all the caring people who show up with love, guidance, and support for others. Our community is stronger because of the many different ways people care for one another.

We also know this day can bring a mix of emotions. Whether you’re celebrating, remembering someone you love, missing a father figure, or simply spending the day quietly, we hope you feel surrounded by the kindness and support of this community.

From all of us at the Friends of the Mattapoisett Library, we wish you a peaceful day filled with family, friends, good stories, and moments that matter. Thank you for being part of what makes Mattapoisett such a special place. 🤗

On Tuesday, June 23rd, Pine Meadow Farms will be coming to the library for a Petting Zoo to kick off our 2026 Kids' Summer Reading Program! This event starts at 10:30 am, so make sure you get here with plenty of time to park, check in, and get settled!

Registration is highly recommended. Not only will this give us an idea of how many folks are coming, but this also allows your friendly neighborhood children's librarian to contact participants directly!

Begin by decluttering your jewelry box and donating gently used or unwanted items to the Mattapoisett Library ASAP. 💨🔜 Then, save the dates of July 17 and 18 and visit our pop-up jewelry sale at the library between the hours of 10 and 2pm. We are offering excellent deals for only $2! 💍☀️

Before heading out to shop for beautiful new treasures during Harbor Days, take a moment to clean out your jewelry box and donate your old or unused jewelry to the Friends of the Mattapoisett Library!

Your donated jewelry will be resold at our annual jewelry sale in December. Every single dollar we make helps support library programs, events, and resources for our community. Every bracelet, necklace, earring, and charm can make a difference! 💙📚

So before you buy something new this Harbor Days season, consider giving new life to pieces you no longer wear.
