Mason City Noon Kiwanis The Mason City (IA) Noon Kiwanis Club is dedicated to the Kiwanis International mission of improving the world one child and one community at a time.

The Mason City Noon Kiwanis is affiliated with Kiwanis International, and is one of two Kiwanis Clubs in Mason City, IA. We are a small, but active, club of around 30 members. Among our programs and activities are: providing scholarships to selected graduating seniors from three high schools in Mason City, supporting the Mason City Newman High School girls’ basketball program, supporting Mason Ci

ty Youth Sports teams, and providing support for other worthy causes as opportunities arise. We support the Kiwanis International/UNICEF Eliminate Project which is working to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus across the globe. We also staff local Special Olympics events. Fundraising activities include an annual Belgian waffle breakfast. We meet bi-weekly on the second and fourth Thursdays from noon to 1:00 pm, at LD's Filling Station, located at 620 12th St NE in Mason City. Our meetings involve a time for fellowship and usually a presentation concerning a community program, organization or event of interest to the club members. Guests are always welcome at our meetings.

We were glad to welcome members of the Mason City High School Key Club to today’s Noon Kiwanis meeting. Sponsored by our friends at River City Morning Kiwanis, these students are planning a “Walk for Water” walkathon on May 2, from 9–11 a.m. at the MCHS track.

Our Noon Kiwanis club is happy to contribute $75 to help get this effort started.

It’s always encouraging to spend time with young people who care so much about others. The Key Club students are making a real difference in our community, and we’re grateful for their leadership. You can follow their work on Instagram or through the school district’s page—and we hope you’ll come out on May 2 to support them.

The Noon Kiwanis meet the 2nd and 4th Thursdays each month, noon to 1:00 pm, at LD’s Filing Station. Guests and new members are always welcome. Come check us out.
