Team Carolan Motorsports Pulling for a Cure was back at Move IT! Walk/run for Parkinson’s this year. And this year Jamie brought his tractor to have folks sign. What a great idea which let’s all of us be part of his journey with Parkinson’s and his fun hobby! Look at all these signatures! No one should deal with Parkinson’s alone! We are a community that helps each other. 🧡

A picture that just warms my heart from Move IT! 5K Walk/Run for Parkinson's....... This is Team Berding! The group that started this event in 2016. Geri Berding has done amazing things for the world of Parkinson's in North Iowa.... an advocate and a friend...always with a big smile and heart! This year the Hal Berding Memorial was a Platinum Sponsor as well. He was looking down on this group and smiling!

Wanted to help spread the word on a great day of learning for anyone nearing or in retirement! This isn't Parkinson's specific, but the speakers and learning opportunity is too good to not share. June 15th at NIACC is the day. Register by calling NIACC (number is on the flyer) to pay for your lunch and get 4 sessions of learning. A wide range of topics.... some are hard topics that no one wants to maybe think about...but we need to think and talk about them! Some are just good sessions by local folks that we need to keep hearing about or get tips on (aka...clearing the clutter for me!). On Saturday I ran a 5K for Parkinson’s research, awareness and local support services in memory of my mother-in-law and in honor of so many I know who are still fighting this disease, including one of my grandmas.

I have no idea what my time was (my watch quit on me part way through), but honestly, it didn’t matter. My goal was simple: run the whole thing without stopping — and I did. Every step was for her. For them. For hope.

Keep moving forward. Keep pushing for better treatments. And keep believing we’ll find a cure.
