As Police Week comes to a close, the crowds grow quiet, the candles dim, and the final notes of a lone bagpiper drift through the air as he walks away from the National Law Enforcement Memorial. One by one, the footsteps fade—but the sacrifice never does. Behind him stands a wall etched with heroes who gave everything, names carved in stone but forever alive in the hearts of those they served. Though Police Week ends, remembrance does not. Their courage is not confined to a single week, nor their legacy to a single place. They are not forgotten in the silence, but honored in every watch, every badge, and every beat of the bagpipe that carries their memory into the night.

As always, we want to thank the Shelby County Sheriff's Office Pipes & Drums for all they do each year for our Tennessee families and for the love they show each family at the Tennessee memorial service we hold annually at the National Memorial Wall in Washington D.C.
