Because of everyone’s support, we are proud to share that this event raised $1,641 for the Anna Kate Wenz FIGHT Foundation. Even more exciting, as part of Barricade Go Topless Day 2026, Barricade Off-Road will also be contributing an additional $500 to the foundation.

Tonight meant a lot to our family and to the Anna Kate Wenz Fight Foundation.
I want to thank the young men of the Pi Kappa Alpha for choosing Anna Kate as their charity and for standing with us in the fight. Being part of Pike Fights tonight reminded me what a strong group of young men you are. You did more than host an event. You stepped in and became part of Anna Kate’s story and part of our family.
Stepping into that boxing ring never gets easier for me. Every time I climb through those ropes, my heart goes right back to the reason we started this foundation. The moment I stand there, I see her. A three foot tall, twenty one pound little girl with pink tennis shoes, with a little bald head, and boxing gloves on. Her tiny fist in the air with all the strength she had saying, “I fight.”
Anna Kate’s fight did not end with her. It lives on through people who choose to stand beside families walking through childhood cancer.
Because of the young men of Pike, more families will have moments where they can breathe. Moments where a parent does not have to worry about one more bill. Moments where a family facing the hardest season of their life can have “no worries,” even if only for a little while.
Thank you for letting Anna Kate be part of your brotherhood. Thank you for fighting with us. Your support means more than words can say.

Tonight as I get ready to go to bed my heart feels full. This weekend usually has me and Brayden running the marathon. This year we did something even more meaningful. We spent our Saturday at Target House cooking dinner for the families there and helping the kids design hats and beanies with as many patches as they wanted. Watching them smile instead of worry was the best feeling.

It was a big moment for Brayden too. He has not been inside Target House since 2019 and even then it was only to help set up Anna Kate’s tree. Her tree still stands in the pink room with her favorite pink chairs. We visited it. We took pictures. We remembered how much she loved that place.

Our volunteers worked hard the entire time. They walked in ready to help. They cooked 30 pounds of ground beef and 20 pounds of spaghetti noodles. They handled two sauces. They baked more than 300 slices of garlic toast. They made salads with cheese and tomatoes and packed up extra toppings for families to take back to their rooms. We bought so many Christmas Tree Cakes that some parents left with a box in their hands. Everyone stayed busy and soaked in the energy you feel inside those walls

The second I walked through the door I saw Miss Linda. She hugged me like it had been days instead of almost ten years. She even tried to show Brayden a picture of him from when he was seven. The halls still look the same. The memories hit the same way too.

Brayden worked side by side with a young man I have watched grow up who represented Westview Beta, Cody Hamilton you are amazing. My coworker Samantha Robbins who feeds high schoolers every day made the whole food prep smooth and after running the 10k never stopped. The boys were calling her chef by the end. I loved having them all there with us.

Target House was Anna Kate’s “elephant house”. It was a place where she lived and played and felt safe. Going back makes me feel closer to her. It gives me a chance to honor her by doing something she would have loved.

We are already talking about a spring trip. Maybe grilling outside and planning new crafts. I might reach out to some of you for help with the grilling part.

Thank you to everyone who helped us keep a promise. Thank you for giving up your Saturday. Thank you for helping us support families who deserve a night filled with comfort and a little bit of joy. This meant everything to me. Thank you Mr. Snider for believing in something that you can't always see and thank you to so many others that continue to promise support so these events are possible.
