We’ve had a fun first quarter so far! At our first meeting, we made cards for Profe Frields and his family. During our second meeting, we wrote positive messages on Post Its and have posted in the hallway. We also had our Go Gold for Childhood Cancer Awareness night at the last football game where we handed out glow sticks, stickers and bracelets, hosted a bake sale, and collected donations to go to the Anna Kate Wenz Fight Foundation!

Our current needs from Beta members:
🔶Sign up for State Beta Convention. $50 deposit due by October 9.
🔷 Bring in Clorox/Lysol wipes for an upcoming service project
🔶 Bring in bags of individually wrapped candies to start preparing for the Trunk or Treat

Saturday wrapped up another fantastic National Beta Convention! We came home with two winners- Izaiah (jewelry) and Tobey, Peyton, Drake, and Andrew (marketing), new friends, and a ton of core memories! We are so proud of all of our participants and can’t wait until next year’s convention in Fort Worth, Texas!

Thursday and Friday of National Beta Convention was filled with more competitions and fun!

On Thursday, Tobey, Mitchell, and Peyton participated in Beta Blitz and Izaiah went through Leadership Ambassador interviews and Challenges. We wrapped up the day with shopping and a club dinner at Chuy’s!

Friday was a busy day for us! Izaiah presented her speech and attended a luncheon for officers and Leadership Representatives. Ellie, Alexis, Annabelle, and Mitchell participated in the Collaboration Connection competition. Tobey, Peyton, Drake, and Andrew presented their Marketing project after a long 2 hour wait, but placed 8th! We wrapped up the day with an exciting Sabotage Escape Room and an amazing Beta Night show at the Grand Ole Opry!

Tuesday started off with a trip to the Nashville Zoo!

Wednesday we hit the ground running at convention! We had Madison and Eleanor qualify for the final round of academic testing, Alexis worked her magic competing in on-site cake decorating, and Drake and Izaiah presented their fine arts submissions.

Izaiah placed 6th with her amazing earrings in the jewelry category!
