Hope that everyone has had a great start to the new school year! We are ready to kick off a fantastic year of Beta here at Westview! Here are a few things to note:

🔹Invites were sent out when students picked up their schedules. See Mrs. Simmons with any questions you may have!
🔸Invites need to be returned to grade level sponsors by Tuesday, August 18.
🔹All dues need to be paid by Friday, August 28. ($40-new members, $15-returning members)

We will also have a Parent meeting on Thursday, August 13 at 6 pm in the Westview Theater. Parents of all new and returning members are encouraged to attend!

Saturday wrapped up another fantastic National Beta Convention! We came home with two winners- Izaiah (jewelry) and Tobey, Peyton, Drake, and Andrew (marketing), new friends, and a ton of core memories! We are so proud of all of our participants and can’t wait until next year’s convention in Fort Worth, Texas!

Thursday and Friday of National Beta Convention was filled with more competitions and fun!

On Thursday, Tobey, Mitchell, and Peyton participated in Beta Blitz and Izaiah went through Leadership Ambassador interviews and Challenges. We wrapped up the day with shopping and a club dinner at Chuy’s!

Friday was a busy day for us! Izaiah presented her speech and attended a luncheon for officers and Leadership Representatives. Ellie, Alexis, Annabelle, and Mitchell participated in the Collaboration Connection competition. Tobey, Peyton, Drake, and Andrew presented their Marketing project after a long 2 hour wait, but placed 8th! We wrapped up the day with an exciting Sabotage Escape Room and an amazing Beta Night show at the Grand Ole Opry!

Tuesday started off with a trip to the Nashville Zoo!

Wednesday we hit the ground running at convention! We had Madison and Eleanor qualify for the final round of academic testing, Alexis worked her magic competing in on-site cake decorating, and Drake and Izaiah presented their fine arts submissions.

Izaiah placed 6th with her amazing earrings in the jewelry category!

This past week, Westview Beta had the opportunity to participate in National Beta Convention which was held in Nashville this year. Lots of fun was had, new friends were made, and fears overcome! We are so thankful for all of our community sponsors that helped to make this experience happen for our students! Over the next few days, we will share some of the fun we had, so be on the lookout!

Four of our amazing Betas recently took online academic tests to try to qualify to the final round of testing at National Convention this June. The results are in…. Not 1, not 2, but ALL 4 OF THEM have qualified for the finals! Good job Lawson, Olivia, Madison, and Eleanor!!!
