Earth Day is over but we’ve got some good news, the planet is always open for care!

Stop by our thrift store and grab a go-bag from our self-serve litter sweep station.

Inside you’ll find everything you need to organize your own roadside or neighborhood cleanup right here in our area.

When you’re done, please return supplies to the return bin so the next cleanup crew can head out too.

This self-serve station will be available in-store through the end of April, in collaboration with Marshall Relief Alliance :)

We are so very grateful to all of the AMAZING & FABULOUS folks pitching in to make this year's event our best yet!!

Join us TODAY from 4-7pm at the Marshall High Studios auditorium for a delicious community meal!

Your choice of soups, bread, drink and dessert! (Gluten-free and vegan/vegetarian options will be available.) 🙂

We'll have LIVE MUSIC from Rooster & Pierce Edens, along with a silent auction!! Check some of our previous posts to get a sneak peak of some of our silent auction items.

We hope to see you today as we come together to share a meal!

Y'all, this is HUGE!!!!! As of 2025, Beacon of Hope is an officially, official member of the Just Economics of WNC Living Wage Certified Employer team!! For reference, when I became Executive Director of Beacon back in July of 2017, I was a salaried employee, paid $10/hour for 30 hours a week and was working 60 hours per week.

Those who are called to work in the nonprofit sector are drawn to these roles to make the world a better place, to invest in and uplift our communities, to help create true, meaningful change and because the mission truly aligns with something deep in our cores.

And also, Beacon now being in a place to pay our staff a living wage is truly a "proud mama moment", as caring for those who care so deeply for our mission programming and truly pour their hearts and souls into our work within the community feels necessary and important. ❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜
