We made this shirt two years ago based on an old saying that means in spite of all obstacles. Two years ago it referenced the hills and hollers we traveled through to deliver supplies to our community but now it means a little bit more.

This tiny team has fared many storms before Helene and the past several weeks have been no different. We took on jobs that weren’t ours, worked hours far beyond what is normal and drove many more hills and hollers to make sure that our folks weren’t forgotten.

All that to say, we’re still here, hell or high water. Monday-Friday, 11-4pm deliveries or drop in. We love you, thank you, stay safe 🖤

For those of us in WNC things are looking a little different, especially safe water access. Using sterile water to make your shot and heating the dose to bubbling for 10 seconds can seriously reduce the risk of dangerous infections! Hit us up for more information or for a delivery. For the foreseeable future we will be operating the hub Tuesday-Sunday, 10am-4pm starting tomorrow, October 7th.

- We now have two office spaces at 1685 NC-213, Marshall #4 for wifi, charging, harm reduction supplies and #6 for donations in an out!
- We’ve sent supplies out to Spring Creek, Hot Springs, Burnsville, Barnardsville, and more!

If you are on the front lines of relief efforts and we haven't connected, PLEASE FB message me!!!

Beacon is serving as a distribution site, a donation site, a transfer/holding station and a communications hub for efforts in Hot Springs, in Marshall and beyond.

I am getting calls (at Beacon), messages via email & Facebook from folks wanting to help and wanting to know what to donate...!!!

If we know what you need , we can make those requests public!!

My ideal would be to have a direct line of contact with the heads of all relief efforts, or those within the org that are appropriate lines of communication so needs lists can be kept up to date.

Also, please let your friends, families and neighbors know we are distributing food Monday - Friday, 12-4pm.

We are working with local farms to provide fresh produce & are continuing to receive donations of dry, shelf stable items to keep our pantry stocked.

Income guidelines have been waived, allowing our food distributions to be OPEN to the COMMUNITY!!!

Communication is still spotty across the county, though we've learned there is a open wi-fi network available!!
