As harvest is underway, just a quick reminder of the dangers of field fires and how quickly they can spread. Strong winds are expected this weekend and will create increased fire danger for crop land. Any fire that occurs may spread rather quickly. We have also seen on several occasions where the fire jumps the roadway, spreading into adjacent fields or even closer to homes or buildings. If you are harvesting, we recommend you have fire extinguishers on hand, and think about keeping a disc close by and readily available in the event a fire breaks out. If you have equipment and are willing to help if needed, contact your local fire department and make sure they have your contact information. Often times the farming community can act and respond just as fast as the fire department, not to mention, a large portion of your volunteer firefighters are already in the fields helping with harvest!

As of 4 pm new main section is tied in and water flowing towards Marne we are working on bleeding the air out of the system and building pressure back up it takes awhile but we are working on it thanks for your patience while we work on this project

Marne water update

Conserve water / limit use today

We are going to tie into new main and flush main when we are finished today

We plan on switching as quick as we can but it will take us some time to switch. Few houses along HWY 83 that will probably not have any water while we switch but in Marne we will isolate the section we are working on and get it tied in today but our reserve tank only has so much water in it.

As of 9-23-26

Boil order canceled tests came back fine

We are still working with a temporary main as our original seems to became uprooted under Buck Creek guessing with all the rain and higher water levels and volume of water moving the last couple weeks

We are still in process of replacing the main that feeds Marne ASAP we are waiting on new main to be placed under Buck creek and be put into service hope in next couple weeks get that completed

As this time the Tests have came back where we can cancel the Boil order

When we switch to new main we will update that as soon as we know a schedule for that

1st Reminder
as we are working on the new section of main to be installed conserve water as much as you can if you loose water pressure we are working on it to restore full water to Marne.

2nd Reminder
We have plenty of water at the Marne Fire station for drinking water or if you need anything delivered, let Aaron or any member of the Marne Fire department know and we can get it to you

Marne Water update as of 9/16 at 11pm

We have a temporary water main put back in the section that broke but we are working with contractors to get new main installed over next couple of days we will have to shut down water again to tie into new main at some point while you still might have water we are urging residents to keep water usage to a bare minimum so we can keep enough water in system so we can get water back on faster once the repair is completed

And reminder we are in a boil order until further notice till we can get main fixed and testing done

You need to boil water before use for consumption
